I thought we had lost her. Lee"s strength amazes me, but I don"t have time to revel in the fact that they made it across because now it"s my turn. Learning from their mistakes, I climb onto Drew"s back, put my arms around his neck, and lock my hands together. “There"s no way I"m letting go of you,” I say. “Never,” he responds before plunging into the water. Sam follows us, keeping a close eye on me. As soon as Drew"s feet can no longer touch the bottom, I feel us drop. I scream in fear and my mouth fills with water.
