I turn to him with my eyes blazing red. I was in a very long hallway, one that looked like a palace hallway, standing close to an intimidating looking guy and he truly looked like what he claimed. He looked like a billionaire—like the ones you see on Forbes or Vogue.
His hazel eyes were looking sharply at me, so I raised my chin up boldly.
"If you dare take a step closer to me, then that's when you'd piss me off. That would make me prove you right and tell every freaking body what you did." I said angrily and he chuckled like I was messing around with him.
"Just stop playing already. I know girls like you. Just tell me who sent you and I will pay you double." He said and my brows creased.
I guess he got it the wrong way since he sighed.
"Okay. Triple." He added and I spat on him. That was the best answer for such a statement.
"f**k you." I responded and a deep scowl took over his face. When he looked up at me, his eyes were now cold and this sent me chills, making me turn on my heels, but he held my hands, dragged me and pushed me to the wall.
"Hey, I don't know who you are, but you don't want to mess with me. I know your face, and if you try anything, I would make your life miserable." He sneered and with the way he was serious, my heart burned more.
He made the misery of my life now being insignificant burn in my chest. He had taken advantage of me when I was vulnerable, but rather than admit it...because of his wealth, he was being manipulative about it.
My lips pressed together, my whole body was burning, but I didn't want to challenge him, I couldn't. My life was already a misery, I didn't want more problems so I chose to stop arguing.
Rather than reply, I ticked his torso very hard, making him kneel in pain.
"Oh my gosh." He squirmed in pain and I used that as an opportunity to rush away from him.
I was still only on blanket since I couldn't get my clothes before he frustrated me out of his room, and realizing this made me scowl wondering how I would get through my street while on this.
After a while of running, I finally found myself at the edge of a double curved staircase and I smirked in gazing around my surroundings.
I felt so annoyed seeing how extravagant his place looked not only because he was an ass, but because it reminded me of my past life. It made me feel Deja vu and I hated this feeling. I hated seeing what I have lost.
As I descended the stairs, I noticed a middle aged maid, with two other young maids by her side. With the way she was directing them, she seemed to be in charge.
When she noticed me, she hurried to me with a surprised look on her face.
"Good morning Miss," She greeted as entered the living room and my brows creased.
"You must be Mr Clifford guest and from the way you look, you two have something together. Do you want me to make you breakfast? Or do you need anything?" She asked, offering me a warm smile and I gave her a cold stare.
"To hell with Mr Clifford. You should be ashamed working under such a person." I replied. Though I knew that she had nothing to do with her useless boss, I was too angry to care.
She blinked at me dumbfounded, but when I began to hear footsteps descending the stairs, I remembered my initial plan—I needed to rush out of this crazy guys house.
I rushed past her and hurried to the large door I could sight, but before I dashed out, I heard his thunderous voice.
"Hurry, catch her! I need to talk to her!"
