Chapter 14: Skylar's Love

"Hi! I'm Skylar."

"I'm Charlie."

"Hey, I'm Riley."

"Hi! I'm Julianna."

"Hello guys! I'm Tahani."

"And we're The Endless Now!" The girls greeted in unison, gaining a loud roar of screams from the crowd.

"Please line up here and wait patiently for your turn. No pushing or shoving please." The event manager spoke through the mike.

Soon, a line of girls and boys can be seen from the table the girls were sitting at to the other end of the mall.

The girls signed many posters and took selfies with fans, they also talked to many fans whom have insecurities and who self-harms. They would tell them how much they love them and tell them that they are perfect the way they are.

However, a particular girl caught Skylar's eye. She's around 5'2, has brown wavy hair, ocean blue eyes and is wearing a crop top with high waist jeans. In her hands are pictures of the girls and Skylar noticed scars running from her wrist across her lower arm. The Texas girl immediately felt sorry for the girl and urgently wanted to find out why she cuts, even though it really wasn't her job to find out why.

The girl finally came to the table with a face eating smile, happy tears rolling down her face, "H..hi."

"Hey!" Skylar greeted, "How's your day?"

"It's good," the girl replied, "because I get to meet you girls."

"Aww..." Skylar cooed, "What's your name?" Skylar questioned taking the picture in her hand.

"Mackenzie."

"Alright." Skylar says, "Here." Skylar smiles and returns the picture to Mackenzie with an autograph and short message on it, 'Dear Mackenzie, thanks for being there for us. Remember, we love you! Love, Skylar.'

"Can I have your twitter username?" Skylar asked, making Mackenzie's eye grow wide.

"S..sure." She replied, writing down her username for Skylar.

"Thanks Mackenzie!" Skylar said and looked at the scribble on the paper, before moving on to the next fan in line.

Skylar's POV

We spend two hours for the meet and greet and we're now on our way to our next destination. I took out my phone from my pocket and also the small paper slip which holds the username of Mackenzie.

I don't know why but I have such a great interest in her. I want to get to know her, to help her and be in her life.

I typed in '@Mac_Harmony' into the search box and an account popped up. I pressed the suggested account and read through her tweets, mostly of which are dedicated to me and the girls. I smiled when I saw her bio, especially since it's written to me; 'Dear Skylar, if you ever read this, I want you to know that you deserve to be treated like a princess and I'll do just that.'

'This girl is really something." I thought, pressing the follow button before sending a direct message to her, "Hey! :) It's Skylar here."

Before long, she replied, well, mostly in capital letters. "OMG. OMG. IS THIS REAL. DID YOU JUST FOLLOW ME? OMG OMG. I CANT BREATHE."

I laughed at the reaction of Mackenzie and shook my head with a chuckle, "Yes love. It's real. How's your day?"

"It was good! Since I got to meet your girls. How was your day?" She replied.

"It was tiring but great! I got to meet the fans and all of you are such beautiful human beings xx"

"Aww... Just a question, why did you dm me out of all the other fans?"

"You're different from the rest. Is that a good enough answer for you?"

"Nope (; *shakes head*"

"Well, I found you interesting. There, I said the truth :)"

"Really? There are so many other pretty girls and handsome boys. I'm just plain old me."

Reading her text, I frowned. Mackenzie isn't just a plain girl. She's different, I can sense it.

"No you're not. You're definitely different from the others. In a good way of course." I replied, hoping that she would feel encouraged to think of herself in a better light.

"Thanks Skylar. That made me smile, and it meant a lot to me (':"

Just then, I heard Julianna screaming my name to go eat dinner in the living area and I groaned, annoyed with the fact that I have to stop my conversation with Mackenzie for now.

"I'm glad I made you smile Mac :) but I've got to go, Ju is calling me to go eat dinner. I'll dm you when I'm free again :) have a good day ahead! Xoxo"

With that, I smiled, locked my phone and made my way towards the living area.

"Do you know who's the girl Skylar has been talking to recently?" Riley enquired, "She's been like on her phone for the whole day."

"A fan we met during one of the meet and greets I think." Charlie replied, snuggling into Tahani's arms before giving her a peck on the lips.

"Keep it PG 13 please." Julianna said, "I'm only six. I need to keep my innocence."

"Yeah, I don't want my little girl losing her innocence." Riley agreed, bopping the girl on the nose.

"Eww stop the mushy talking. I'm getting goosebumps." Tahani shivered, "Come on babe, let's go to my bunk and you know." She winked.

"Don't want to know what the both of you are going to do." Riley said, covering the ears of Julianna.

"Where's Skylar?" Julianna asked.

"In her bunk texting the girl I think." Riley replied with a thoughtful face, "If I'm not wrong, her name's Mackenzie."

"Oh..." Julianna nodded.

Skylar's POV

"I heard that you're going on tour with Demi!" Mackenzie exclaimed excitedly.

"Yeah! I'm so excited, do you want tickets to her show? I can get them for you." I offered.

Mackenzie and I started face timing each other after two weeks of talking on Twitter. We figured that it was time to talk to each other face to face, and video chatting was the only option since we're not in the same state.

"Oh my god. Really? You're not joking right?" She questioned.

"No of course! How many do you want?" I asked.

"Two please. Thanks so much Skye." She grinned making my heart melt, this girl is such a charm.

"No problem love." I smiled.

Looking up at the digital clock above my head and realized that I still have thirty minutes with Mackenzie before I have to go get ready for the next show.

"I was wondering if you would you know, like to come down to the next -"

"Hi Skylar!" Julianna screamed into my ear making me jump, "What are you doing?"

I quickly hid my phone screen against my chest on, "Why are you here?" I asked in shock.

"Hello? Skylar? You there?" Mackenzie said making Julianna's eyes light up.

"Is that Mackenzie?" She squealed excitedly.

"Oh my god. Julianna?" Mackenzie muttered in return.

"Let me see." Julianna insisted, snatching the phone from Skylar, "Hi Mack- Holly shit." Julianna mumbled, "Skylar!"

"W..what?" Skylar stuttered, hiding her blushing face.

"You didn't tell us about her being so pretty!" Julianna whined.

"Who?" Riley enquired, walking over and encircled her arms around Julianna before looking at the screen, showing a fangirling Mackenzie, "Holy- I mean, Skylar! Why didn't you tell us? She looks so much like Maiara Walsh." She commented.

"Get out!" Skylar blushed even harder and took her phone back before shutting her curtains.

"I'm so sorry." She apologized, "For the interruption. Now, I was saying -"

"Wait, are you blushing?" Mackenzie giggled, "Aww... You're so cute when you blush." She cooed. 

"Shut up Mackenzie Brown." Skylar blushed even harder.

"Okay, and you were saying?"

"Would you want to come down to our next show? So we can meet each other?"

"Y..you want to meet me?" Mackenzie asked in disbelief, "Like for real?"

"Yes Mac. I'll provide you with the flight details okay?"

"Okay!" Mackenzie said, "Thank you for all your doing for me."

"It's my pleasure." Skylar smiled.

Skylar sat inside the VIP Waiting Room at the airport together with the rest of the girls, waiting for the arrival of Mackenzie. She had a bunch of roses placed on the coffee table for Mackenzie, roses which she had carefully picked out by herself.

"It's been ten minutes since the plane landed. Why isn't she out yet?" Skylar mumbled as she fidgeted, fumbling with her fingers.

Just then, the door opened and revealed a Latina with gorgeous blue eyes, making the girls freeze in their positions.

"Oh, there she is! Damn, she looks even more like Maiara Walsh in person." Riley said when she snapped out of her trance, gaining a slap on the arm from Julianna.

"Don't you dare look at her for more than five seconds Jauregui. You're mine and your eyes are supposed to be fixed on me." Julianna pouted, crossing her arms.

"Aww... Look who's jealous." Riley giggled leaning in, capturing Julianna's lips in hers into a slow kiss.

"Maybe it would be more appropriate of you to kiss later when Mac isn't a round guys." Tahani suggested, "Hi Mac! Nice to meet you again." She said with a grin.

"Hey girls!" Mackenzie waved, "It's great to see you all again. Pardon me if I start to fangirl later, for now I'm trying my best to keep it at bay."

"Don't worry love." Skylar smiled warmly, "Here, for you." She said handing the bunch of roses over.

"Thank you so much Skye." Mackenzie said enveloping the older girl in a hug, "You didn't have to."

"Anything for a beautiful girl like you." Skylar replied, gaining a kiss on the cheek from the brunette. 

"Well, let's go guys. We have a show to get ready for." Tahani said standing up and linking her arm with Charlie.

"Thank you all for coming! We flove y'all!" Skylar ended and the stage lights went off as the stage manager signaled the girls through a ear piece to get off the stage.

"The show was awesome!" Mackenzie exclaimed jumping on her, wrapping her arms around the shorter girl, "Amazing as always."

"Thanks girl! We better leave the two of you alone now." Charlie chuckled, "See you in the changing room later. Bye!"

The four other girls left, allowing the two girls to have some time alone.

"You did great just now Skylar." Mackenzie whispered, unconsciously doing it in a lovingly kind of way.

"Thanks." Skylar answered, "You look so beautiful Mac. You know that?" She muttered leaning in closer to Mackenzie, "Can I kiss you?" She asked, feeling the taller girl's hot breath on hers.

The brunette nodded her head and Skylar closed the gap between them, attaching her lips to the other's soft luscious lips. Skylar forgot how to breathe for a second as their lips move together, never in her life had she felt so much connection towards another person. She pulled Mackenzie closer towards her as the kiss deepened, totally blown away by what Mackenzie is doing to her. Soon, they pulled away and Skylar had a big smile on her face with her eyes still closed.

"You look so cute right now." Mackenzie giggled, grazing her nose over Skylar's affectionately, "I..I love you."

"I love you too." Skylar replied without hesitation.

Deep inside her heart, she knows that Mackenzie isn't just a fan. She's her best friend, her soon to be lover, her soulmate.
