Ross blinked and sent a side eye to Meredith upon her gasping, leaning away from Emma.
“Thank you too, your cooperation is highly appreciated, and you will be rewarded accordingly," Ross said, the smile on his face still lingering but not as wide as it was with Emma.
Meredith wanted to hit her head against a wall, who had asked her to make any sound? The glance he had given her had surely shaved years off her lifespan, even as he thanked them.
“It’s…ahem, it’s an honor to work with you sir”, Cooper said on behalf of both of them, as he could see that Meredith was frozen, “And Miss Emma is a fantastic project manager, she deserves all the credit really”.
Ross didn’t respond to that, only standing up with a smile on his face that seemed to say ‘I know’.
