The walk back to Her dormitory, was like one of shame, It was quiet shocking to Marceline how fast the rumours spread around the palace. Especially one about the king.
There were gossips around her, every turn she took, something was said, be it a brief whisper between friend slaves, or a full on chatter between Guards that eyed her angrily, It was quiet evident to her, that her stay in the palace was about to get way more difficult.
The King might have saved her, but he had put her in a situation where she was going to be killed slowly and painfully. The jealous and cold eyes that followed her every step out of the King’s palace and to the Dormitory, were one that left a cold shiver in her bones.
Nonetheless, Marceline made it back to the warm Dormitory, in one piece. T
