Marceline’s P.O.V

We left Crisan the next day, it was abrupt but i know there was a reason for the sudden leave, it had everything to do with Beta Mikel, He knew something and that made me feel uneasy. I had forgotten about everything that happened the day before, my mind was in a haze and my memory was distorted as well. The mark on my neck was huge, The bite marks that the girls had claim to see was gone by the morning, but the red ness was there and it covered my neck.

''You are mine'', That deep voice haunted me, i kept hearing it, but i had no idea whom it belonged to. I was still deep in thought when our door opened.

''One after the other in a single file, exit the room''. Jared said as he gave way for us to leave the room. We formed a line, a renactment of the line we had been following for a while. Renee at the front and Delphine at the last. As we walked out of the cubicle he stopped us just outside and showed us the chains that were beside him.

''Your hands out'', We did so, He began placing the cuffs on it, linking us together, ''No leg cuffs, you are heading to Belrig, You have the Supreme Beta to Thank''.

The Supreme Beta?, A pure narcissist!, but thank him i guess. I stretched my legs a bit, definently more freedom, But then it clicked again, Why?, I knew i needed to see the Beta before we leave Crisan.

''You have to thank him for his Generosity, follow me''. Jared said taking words from my mouth, i smiled softly, Thank you Jared.

We followed his lead, I was already familiar with the route to The Beta's wing and when we appeared before his chamber doors i was not surprised. Jared announced our arrival, ''Greetings Beta, The girls are here!''. The doors opened from the inside and we heard a deep voice speak from inside, ''Enter''. We did so and we entered into the office like room, I was stunned, I could not stop myself from looking around.

The office was not as large as i expected, it was a different feel and seemed humble than the owner who beared it. Beta Mikel's office was covered with bookshelves that started from the floor and extended themselves to the ceilings of the room, His oak table was at the middle and he sat on a chair that i couldn't see reading a book that was too far from my eyes to understand. I had been looking around all this while and had forgotten whose prescence i was in, My eyes glanced towards the girls whose head was bowed, my eyes went ajar in shock and i looked up , and found myself staring at the golden eyes of the alpha whose eyes were already on me.

''Greetings Beta Mikel!!'', We greeted together and i took that distraction to pry my eyes away from his gaze.

''Why are they still in cuffs Jared?'', He looked AT our hands with a displeased look, Jared knelt on the floor, ''I apologise Beta, The queen Lupercalia instructed they stay in cuffs at least''. I saw his lips form a thin line, he was not happy.

''They are headed for Belrig, they should not be in cuffs''. He said calmly, as his eyes trailed to mine they looked at me before trailing down to my hands, ''The blisters are too much, it's a long journey to Belrig_'', He paused and sighed, Using his left hand to scratch his hair, ''I shouldn't be explaining to you, Release them''. He said sternly.

''Yes Beta''. Jared took out his keys and began freeing us, one by one the cuffs fell to the ground and for the first time since leaving home i felt partially free.

''Thank You Beta''. We said in unison a bright smile on our faces.

''You are welcome, Humans and Werewolves should have good relationships, there should be no fear, you are just as powerful'', He stared at me again, boring holes into me,The room got darker, it felt smaller, I kept staring at Mikel, i could only see him, He was no longer to on his seAT, hE HAD MOVED CLOSER AND WAS STANDING IN FRONT OF ME, I BACKED AWAY SCARED, BUT HE CAME CLOSER, ''You are capable of a lot, like taming an Alpha and having the power to command him at your will'', The room felt different, My head felt light and as i turned around, i could not see the girls standing by my side again, neither jared just him, What was happening?

''I am intrigued by you'', He lowered his face to my neck and i shivered slighty as i felt his cold lips on my ears, ''I am intrigued by you, You have so much to do, we..... Together'', The last line ringed in my ears hauntingly, I gasped and backed away finally regaining myself and as i did, i began hearing chuckles and the room lit up again,

Beta Mikel was sitting on his chair again, His book was firm on his hands, I was back in the line and the girls were on my side again, ''You seemed lost Celine'', Giselle whispered to me and i blinked trying to regain my lost consciousness, Something was not right .

''You all should be leaving now, i have a lot of work to do and You guys have a weeks journey ahead''. Beta Mikel said dismissing us, We bent our heads to him to give our final greeting before we were excorted out. As i passed through the door i heard Beta Mikel say one last time to me, ''We will meet Again'', I looked briefly at Giselle but she remained the same, she had not heard it, but i had, and everything i had heard earlier wasn't my imagination as well, There was some sort of Dark magic in Crisaan and it did not sit well with me.

We walked out of the chambers and ultimately out of The castle, Up ahead of the vast vineyard of the palace, where I saw our carriage being prepared for us, I sighed but my heart felt warm, i was going to be away from this mysterious place at least. Our walk to the carriage was just a few more steps when we were halted on our steps.

''The queen has sent some gifts''. A female voice said from behind us, i turned immediately and so did the other girls,

''The queen never give gifts''. Jared said kniiting his brows in thought, The girl hissed at him, ''She made an exception''. She walked sassily past Jared and moved to us.

''Here, Blankets and some snacks to eat on your journey to the cold city of Belrig'', We accepted the wool blanckets and packed sweets that she handed to delphine, there was three kegs of water and hand fans for the heat, We thanked the queen for her generosity even in her absence. We turned again to leave but she stopped us again, ''One more thing, The queen personally gave you this Marceline''. She said before handing a black diary to me.
