I was used to being occupied on Thanksgiving afternoon decorating Santa’s Wonderland in the middle of the mall. Maybe I should have done that again this year, but I was in school now and that job? Did. Not. Miss. Since Aunt Mel wasn’t the property manager there anymore, I didn’t have an automatic in with whoever the new manager was—although I probably could easily get the job since I had so much experience.
