Eli turned to his warriors.
“Why don’t you two get some rest? We’ll talk in the morning.”
Alli looked up with wide eyes, she looked scared.
It hurt Eli to see her fear, seeing that she was afraid of him. He couldn’t imagine ever hurting her. Clint and Henry hesitated.
“Actually, guys, maybe you should stay.”
As much as it pained Eli, he would do anything to help make Ali feel safe.
