Eli turned over in bed for the hundredth time. He was happy to have Alli in the room with him but her scent was driving Axel and him a little crazy. Axel kept him awake, telling him to go scoop her up and bring her to bed so he could hold her. Eli didn’t need to explain why that was a terrible idea, and Axel knew full well that they wouldn’t be doing that. He just kept taking deep breaths, trying to allow her intoxicating aroma to lull him to sleep.
He finally blocked Axel and let his mind go quiet. He was just beginning to drift off when he heard Alli cry out. In a flash he was on the ground next to the couch by her side.
