Eli was awake before the sun. He decided that he wanted to take care of a few things before Alli woke up for the day. Again, he had fought with Axel as they decided how to punish David and what they should do to help Alli stay protected in the future.
Axel was ready to rip out David’s throat, remembering the way he had his mate pinned helplessly against the wall. But Alli had been unhurt and he hadn’t actually threatened to hurt her. There was little he could do besides ban him from the packhouse and prevent him from coming anywhere near Alli again. The logical part of him knew a night spent in silver would have been a painful enough punishment for what he had done.
