“What?” Alli was pissed. “You’re not going to let me train? And on top of that, I have to have people following me around all the time? Is that what you’re saying?”
Damn, I should have listened to Tre, Eli thought as he watched his furious mate pace in front of him.
“It’s for your protection.”
“I thought you said I wouldn’t be a prisoner here! This sounds like a prison without the walls.”
“Alli, it’s not like that.”
Alli pushed past him and headed towards the door.
“I need some time…ALONE!” She yelled as she slammed the door.
Ouch.
He had never seen her angry before and it stung. But also he felt himself instantly hard at the power in her voice. She was a force to be reckoned with when she got mad.
