Eli, Tre, and Topher read and reread the paper printout in front of them. It was the text exchange they were able to pull off of the burner phone they suspected belonged to David.
While the texts were short and vague, they did reveal a few things. For one, David was not the mastermind, but simply someone who agreed to help another person in the abduction.
David: I was a top warrior before that b***h ruined my life. She deserves what’s coming.
Unknown: Don’t worry, she won’t be your problem for much longer. Just make sure you clear the area for us when the attack starts.
David: I know the plan. But remember, you promised to take out the traitor guard that will be with her too.
Unknown: Just uphold your end of the arrangement and we will uphold ours.
