Four days ago
Alli sat in the hay loft feeling her heart squeeze in her chest. Her mate was in danger and all she could do was sit here and wait. The suspense of not knowing what was going on was killing her.
“Luna?” She heard an unfamiliar voice call from downstairs.
Her voice caught in her throat as she debated responding. Why wasn’t Clint the one calling out to her? She knew he had only left a couple of minutes ago, but why would he send someone to get her already? She told him she could wait here until the fight was over.
“Luna,” a man with curly blonde hair, peaked over the top of the ladder to the hay loft. “Alpha Elijah has been injured, they sent us to come for you. We’ll take you to him.”
“Eli!” Alli called out as terror gripped her. He was hurt!
