Staring into dangerous inventive gold eyes, I can see myself in the future…
There I was, staring into the sunset’s gaze with a wind breeze that could chill my heart with passion and heat. I smiled as the sun’s vibrant colors bounced off of my skin and now into the sky expressing compassion and love throughout the infinite skies.
Placing a hand over my stomach as I carried a child under the gender of a boy, I rubbed my stomach knowing that I was carrying an heir. An heir to the next throne that will destroy this world, or fix it.
Beside me laid a creature that allowed me to place my hand on top of its rough hot head. Moving my finger left and right on its head with ease, it didn’t find my existence a threat, but instead found it a blessing.
“Doryu, rise in the face of your wife.”
The creature opened its big wide eyes and slowly began to raise its body off of the ground that it laid on beside me. As the creature rose, it’s 2 feet body became 26 feet within minutes of it getting up completely.
“I love you.” I stated
The creature named Doryu bent its head down to sniff my body as it then nudged my body with his head while using his nose to rub on my stomach that was carrying his son.
“Love is but a word you humans use to describe the emotions that sets your hearts at ease. For a word is nothing more than lies that you can use to deceive yourself to think that’s what you truly feel.”
I smiled at him.
“Don’t give me that s**t Doryu, say it back.” I said rubbing on my husband’s head
The creature sneered at me before moving his head back so that his eyes could match up with mines.
“Under the stars that exist so that we can see light, I tell you under the moonlight of catastrophe, that I love you.”
I smiled at his language.
“What is the word you use to conclude how you want to address me?”
I laughed knowing what exactly he wants me to say. Kissing his hard scaly skin, I rub his head once more before using both of my hands to bring his face to look at me fully.
“… It’s… The First King of the Lovech Kingdom, the destroyer of nations and bringer of humanity, the man of my heart… Doryu…”
Dragon Realm
"Welcome to the Dragon Realm?"
Reyna’s mind was even more confused than it first was as she heard Doryu’s words to her.
The Royal Empress, the First Queen of the Lovech Kingdom… The green dragon, she was the person to bring Reyna to this “dragon realm”?
Is this the reason why I'm in this weird unknown situation that is so confusing? What exactly am I supposed to see from transporting from my world to this dragon realm?
“Oh god,” Reyna thought to herself as she rose her hand to rub her temples in question
There were too many things going for Reyna to try and understand. Reyna’s brain couldn’t process anything ever since she was caged up behind metal bars and saved by the spit of a dragon.
From her asking Syrah to show her to the Throne Room, to now being face to face with a dragon, it was clear that the Lovech Kingdom was more than the eye could tell .
Trying to wrap her head around everything, Reyna looked at Doryu for answers to her nonstop questions.
“You said that I was brought here because I wanted to know more about dragons, but why did I need to be brought into a different realm entirely?” Reyna asked
Doryu cut his eyes low.
“You were brought by the meddling woman who doesn’t understand the meaning of no. Irma must have believed that your knowledge might be gained from leaving your life outside to understand what lies within.”
Reyna furrowed her eyebrows in question.
What the hell is wrong with his speech?
Doryu could see the question and confusion within her eyes. She wants answers… and she will receive what she wanted.
“I know questions may come to the mind of your body, but the answers that you need are in here.” Doryu said pointing his nose to Reyna’s chest where her heart lies
“I-In my heart?” Reyna asked
Doryu nodded his head.
“The heart is the gateway of evil and good. The double edge sword of the heart can make an evil person or erase one.”
The heart… the heart held that much power?
Wondering what everything meant, another question came into her mind.
“Wait a minute, I still don’t understand. Why do I have to see the memories of the first human and dragon interaction to receive my answer?”
“I am not sure as my mind is clouded with the word confusion. But, Irma wanted the blood of her son to meet the body of her person to explain the Empyreal Dragons.”
Reyna eyebrows rose.
The blood of her son? What does that mean?
“I don…”
Reyna tried to ask another question, but she was rudely cut off by an annoyed dragon who wasted too much time talking rather than showing.
“LET’S GO.” Doryu demanded
Reyna furrowed her eyebrows and stared blankly at Doryu.
“Let us go where? Where the f**k are we going?” Reyna said letting her vocabulary slip
Doryu cut his eyes low again and glared at Reyna with his gold eyes before a rumbling growl came from his chest…
Oh no…
Lovech Kingdom
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN MOTHER TOOK HER?!” Dragnior yelled out
After the training lessons with Queen Mother Eva, Zahn and Dragnior went to the Throne Room to see Reyna as they were ready to see what she thought about dragon statues and her new experience that the Royal Empress might’ve shown her.
But, as the two boys arrived into the Throne Room, there was no one there except for a crying Syrah as she bowed in front of the statue pleading for someone to come back.
Syrah has never cried a day in her life since she’s been here in this palace, so what could’ve caused the emotionless criminal to cry so messy? Dragnior thought to himself as his eyes started searching the room for Reyna
Dragnior flinched in his skin as he realized that he could no longer smell Reyna’s scent. Not even Dragnior’s dragon nose could trace any lingering scents that Reyna may have left behind. Everything was gone.
Zahn looked around the room and immediately ran over to the crying Syrah. Wrapping his small body around Syrah, Syrah’s body began shaking as she was ready to start talking.
“T-The Queen Mother, s-she took the Queen! I-I only wanted her t-to touch Mother’s head but then h-her b-b-b-ody disappeared!”
Dragnior’s blood ran cold and rushed away from his face as his body started to weaken. Reyna was gone, and it was his own mother that took her away. Mother has never taken anyone away from the human realm whenever she wanted to evaluate the soul of a person.
What exactly is mom doing and why is she doing it? Dragnior thought to himself as he stared at a now crying Zahn
Zahn was hurt that his mother was gone. His mother was gone from his life! The only woman that he began to love, left him.
Did she not want me anymore? Did I do something wrong? Zahn thought himself as his eyes kept producing more tears.
Dragnior looked at the 2 crying people before sighing and thinking about himself in this moment.
We have no information of what’s going on and we don’t know what Irma wanted with Reyna, but right now, Dragnior was looking at his home trained assassin, Syrah and one of the last Empyreal Dragons, Zahn, crying on the floor in fear of what happened to Reyna.
Dragnior sighed.
Something about the sight of these two crying in front of him made Dragnior think about this palace and how it grew from the once empty palace walls that held no warmth.
No happiness, no smiles, this palace was just another empty shell left behind by Dragnior's parents, but he could see everything changing their lives and attitudes as Reyna stayed within the palace.
“I didn’t realize but Reyna actually made these hallways less cold, and with her being gone, the walls are cold again.” Dragnior mumbled
Damn it Reyna… Where are you?
Dragon Realm
“Y-You … me… an heir.”
Reyna’s breath was lost as she traveled with Doryu in the skies of the dragon realm.
Throughout the chaos of the winds fighting her as she was in the air the only thing running through Reyna's head was the knowledge of the things she did know. That she was brought into the dragon realm by Irma, that’s the only thing she knew. But, what she didn’t know is what was going to happen next as she ventured into the world of the unknown.
After traveling through the skies of the white clouds that were slowly turning dark as the clouds were trying to make rain appear onto the realm, Doryu ended up landing his huge body onto the large foundation of a building… a palace that looks very familiar.
Placing Reyna's body inside of the huge building, Reyna noticed the beautiful marble walls that she always look at every morning she woke up... Reyna was inside of the Lovech Kingdom's Palace.
But, as Reyna and Doryu settled themselves inside of the palace, there was a certain broke pieced mirror that stood inside of the room which Doryu landed in. A mirror, that seemed to have something moving inside of it.
"Take a look." Doryu called
Reyna could feel her excitement raising through the roof. What exactly was moving inside of the mirror?
As Reyna quickly moved her body over the mirror in front of her, there was an image coming into her focus as she was now staring at the mirror in awe. There was a woman and a dragon inside of the mirror moving!
“An heir? From a human? How dare you speak in words that reflect badly on myself as you believe Doryu will have an heir with you?” Doryu demandingly yelled
The woman shrunk back in her own skin as she looked saddened by Doryu’s words.
"In front of the face that watches the scene ahead, I am letting you see an old scene that might allow you to understand that meddling woman more." Doryu spoke
An old scene? Is he having me look at the past between him and Queen Irma?
On the woman's young pretty square like face, her cherry red lips frowned in sadness as tears consumed her deep green eyes. Her short brown hair looked as if it was actually frowning as the once blowing hair fell still at the emotion change.
Her average looking nose twitched as her right eyebrow arched and twitched.
All things that Dragnior would do whenever he’s sad or angry. This woman was definitely his mother.
The woman looked to avoid the room to avoid the dragon’s eyes before her eyes turned to look into Reyna’s once more. The vision she was seeing through this mirror really made her believe that this woman could see through this reflective mirror and into the dragon realm itself.
“When I first met the meddling woman, she mentioned in the words of her tongue that she had a dream. A dream where the body of hers carried the son of my blood.”
Lifting her head up to look at the present Doryu, Reyna could see him smiling slightly as he began talking.
“A dream?” Reyna questioned
“A dream that came true to the word of the world. She birthed me a son by the name of Dragnior. In dragon’s tongue, Dragnior’s name is, Doryu’s blood of dragon, Dragnior; the life or death of the peace that revolves around the world to prevent or create chaos.”
“That has such a heavy meaning.” Reyna spoke without thinking
Doryu chuckled.
“What you are watching through the eyes of the lost soul, is what happened when Irma first met the gracious hero of her dreams.”
“This is what happened when she first met you? Are we looking at the past?”
“I explained that you will learn about the dragons, so I am showing the eyes of your contained body the first human-dragon interaction.”
So Irma originally met Doryu after he saved her from death at the coliseum, but Irma already knew who he was because she had dreams about him?
“Shall we go see the dragons in person?”
What?
Reyna turned her head to look at Doryu with a question in her eyes.
“What are you talking about?”
Doryu smirked.
“We are going to see the truth that you have waited to seek.”
Lovech Kingdom; Dragnior’s Office
“Master, she will be okay. Reyna is strong.”
“A strong woman that is STILL WEAK! She might DIE in the dragon realm.” Dragnior yelled
Sitting in his office chair, Dragnior couldn’t help but be afraid.
Yes, Reyna was a dragon but she doesn’t actually know that she’s a dragon and because of that, her body might react badly to sudden change of her being in a different realm.
Her dragon’s blood could react too fast within her and kill her because her body wouldn’t be able to take it.
“Master, if there is one thing I know about Reyna, I know that she is not weak. She is a dangerously strong Master. Just believe in her.” James spoke
Rolling his eyes at him, Dragnior sighed.
Reyna is a woman that: has survived death, has survived deadly abuse against the mistresses of her husband, and has survived against the world tearing her to pieces.
Dragnior shook his head slightly.
“Let’s hope that your Queen is strong enough to face the dragon realm and strong enough to face the destiny that mother might show her.”
Dragon Realm
“Where are we now?”
Looking at her surroundings, Doryu led Reyna to an outdoor area where there were weeds growing in the open specs of the hardened ground beneath them. The two were inside of a coliseum whose floors were shattered into pieces.
The pillars that once stood up the stands, were crumbled as the stands were now one with the shattered floor. Everything was abandoned.
“This … Reyna, is who we are.” Doryu said as he pointed his nose to the sky above us
Gently shutting her eyes a little to avoid the sun’s light, there were whooshing sounds coming from above her head. Whooshing sounds that made Reyna want to open her eyes a bit wider even with the sunlight burning her eyes.
Although it was far, in the distance there were black figures moving around in the skies above. Reyna's eyes sparkled in delight as she could see the colors of crimson red, bright green, and violent blue filling the skies with color. They were painting their presence.
“Wow.” Reyna mumbled looking at the beautiful sight
Doryu watched as he looked at Reyna enjoying the sight of his people and family. For a woman who has never seen dragons before, she has been accepting everything eagerly without violence. loud roar.
Opening his mouth wide, Doryu let out a loud roar that alerted the other dragons but scared Reyna. The dragons in the sky turned their bodies in the direction their caller.
“What the f**k did you do?” Reyna yelled at Doryu
“It is not what I did, but why I did it.” Doryu replied
This little s**t, Reyna thought to herself as numerous amounts of dragons started lowering their bodies as their claws laid down on the ground beneath them.
Hearing heavy blows of winds within her ears, Reyna stood in shock unknowingly as the dragons propped themselves onto the ground. All of them are huge!
“My King.” The all said in unison while bowing
Keeping her eyes focused on the beautiful dragons that stood taller than her, Reyna was shocked by their obedience and immediate respect to their superior.
I thought that dragons would’ve been more spiteful in the ways of taking over in terms of power, but I guess I was wrong, Reyna thought
“Is this our new Queen, Your Highness?” One dragon asked
“What happened to Irma? Did she finally leave you?”
What? Questioning what was going on, Reyna could hear a voice speak to answer their questions.
“SHE IS NOT! Do not allow your mouth that holds no truthful words to spit out nonsense!” Doryu answered
The dragons snickered among themselves as they loved joking around with their King. They knew that there would NEVER be anyone who could replace their Queen and savior, Queen Irma.
Reyna looked in awe at the huge beings that kept their wings out in the air beside them. Dragons are so damn beautiful, the sight is truly a beauty to behold.
Doryu looked among his people in pride. There’s nothing that makes a King more happy than to see his people happy and enjoying the life that they built for them. Their own personal happiness.
“My people, the blood of my son would like to have answers on the becoming of a dragon… ella necesita saber quiénes somos.”
The dragons picked their ears up in attention as Reyna looked at the sight confused. What did Doryu just say?
“We understand, my King.” The dragons bowed their heads down to Doryu and Reyna
Doryu nodded his head slightly as he moved his golden eyes to look at Reyna. It’s time for her to understand now what the Empyreal Dragons really are.
She needs to know who we are, is what Doryu said to his people.
As Doryu slowly began to tuck his wings under his huge body, it was time to show Reyna what the Empyreal could do. This was an age-old traditional method that the Empyreal Dragons gained in order to avoid natural selection as the world was changing into a different time.
Magic, witchcraft, magic beasts were slowly becoming a thing of the past as the people of the world began to believe that these creatures didn’t exist anymore, but little did they know.
As he was now forced to absorb his scales into his body just like someone would sucking liquid through a straw, Doryu was put under immense pressure as he had to make his body transform from a 20 foot dragon and now to a 6 foot man.
As his scales slowly started to turn from the color red to now a skin flesh like tone of white, the veins that were covered under the hard scales were now appearing as Doryu’s large body was becoming smaller.
His face… his face began to shrink in size as his long nose began to reverse inwards to give him back his small nose and sculpted face. With his huge pot belly now burning off its fat and breaking itself down into a human stomach, the dragons watched their King transform in worry.
It has been a while since Doryu has transformed.
Clueless, Reyna wasn’t aware of the change that was happening behind her back as she kept staring at the big dragons that had no current interest in her.
How would have thought that a mythical creature that no one thought could’ve been alive at one point in time was now standing right in front of her?! Reyna admired the dragons, until she heard a loud groan behind her.
Reyna turned her head around as she could see the slight figure of a person hiding behind a whole bunch of smoke. The smoke was turning white, showing that it wasn’t a flaming hot fire that's still burning, no… it was cooling off.
“Please, forgive me for earlier. I understand that my language earlier was problematic to listen to, but I am working on it.”
Reyna's eyes widened as she heard the same deep voice speak out, but she was hearing different formatted words speak out. As the white smoke was now clearing itself out from the wind blowing it away from the scene, Reyna was now looking face to face with … a HUMAN!
WHO THE f**k IS THIS MAN?!
“I… uhh…” Reyna didn’t know what to say
“The truth about dragons that you wanted to know, the honest truth about the dragons,” Doryu began speaking and Reyna right eyebrow lifted itself up waiting to hear more “is that Empyreal Dragons are shifters that can turn themselves into a human being at will.”
Shifters?
“Wait a damn minute. No no no. There was a huge dragon... right here in front of me, looking down at me that carried me here. What happened to King Doryu?”
The man looked at Reyna with amusement as he couldn’t believe that she actually didn’t recognize him. Does he look so different in his human form than his dragon form? Doryu smirked at Reyna.
“I am King Doryu.”
The pulse that resides within Reyna’s neck started thumping violently as it was mimicking what her heart was doing in her chest. The brain cells were trying to wrap themselves in information and answer from what was going on as 50% of her brain was slowly accepting his answer, but the other 50% didn’t think his answer was enough.
“No, you can’t be.” Reyna said to him but Doryu only shook his head yes
“You can believe what you want Reyna, but my dragon blood prevents me from lying as I am the bringer of humanity. Everything I speak is the truth.” Doryu said as his hair started blowing in the wind
The wind kept moving the hair of Doryu’s in circles as the hair kept flipping in his face.
“NOTHING explains how you just shifted from a large creature to a small human man! There’s no way that you should be able to transform from a BIG ASS DRAGON to a SMALL ASS MAN!” Reyna yelled with her potty mouth being exposed
This man has to be around 6’0 feet tall, but the dragon is about 35 feet tall. There’s clearly a HUGE difference in the body's anatomy, the sudden changing of size, and well.. EVERYTHING!
I can’t believe this, this isn’t happening…
But this is happening.
The half of Reyna’s brain that was accepting everything about dragons and magic was telling her to salute the King, but the other half was standing its ground in the face of a bluff.
“Dragons are known for their intelligence and speed. Age old wisdom comes with the ability to move faster in movement and transitions. So the reason why I can change so fast is because of how old I am and how long I’ve been doing it.”
Reyna raised her eyebrow.
“How old are you exactly?” Reyna questioned
“7,000 and counting.” He said smiling at me
What the hell!
Even though everything about this situation didn’t seem normal, nothing else can explain what’s going on right now as Reyna was receiving answers that only a crazy person would accept.
So the truth behind dragons is that they are actually shape shifters?! People who can transform into a huge beast anytime they feel like it.
Yea okay, why not go along with this story.
“Alright dragon shifter, tell me why exactly are we inside of a coliseum? What is the reason for bringing us here?”
Doryu nodded his head as he seemed slightly happy.
“First, let me start by explaining that not every dragon can transform into a human, only the Empyreal Dragons. The Empyreal Dragons were made by the Creators of the World themselves as our existence was to be protected by the blood that created dirt.”
Reyna furrowed her eyebrows. So the Creators of the World personally made the Empyreal Dragons?
“The Empyreal Dragons were made to adapt to any situations at hand, whether it's the weather, natural disasters, unpredicted circumstances or…”
“HUMANS!” A dragon yelled out
Doryu moved his eyes over to the outspoken dragon as Doryu glared at him deeply. Watch your mouth, was Doryu subliminal message.
The dragon understood what their King was saying through those angry eyes and they lowered their head down in submission.
Reyna watched the exchange happen trying to piece something together.
Were humans a natural disaster for these dragons?
“Second thing that I want to mention, is that you don’t need to be born a dragon to become an Empyreal Dragon. It is not determined by birth whether or not you can become one of us.”
Reyna's eyes widened. Becoming a dragon isn’t always decided by birth?!
“For an example my wife, Irma, was born and raised from a horrible human family.”
Human?
“Wait so Queen Irma was a complete human?” Reyna asked
“She was… once. Irma was not born a dragon but instead was turned into a dragon by me.”
Turned into a dragon?!
“H-How? How can that happen?” Reyna question
“By transferring your blood into the body of a human. Then, you are one together as your blood is their blood, it is called a motion and a ritual..”
A ritual and motion?
Moving her eyes to glance up at the dragons that were looking down at them, Reyna couldn’t help but feel inferior to the large beasts whose gold eyes kept themselves trained on her.
“Can they also…?”
“Yes they can… for they are the dragons of the Empyreal Bloodline.”
“The Empyreal Bloodline?” Reyna questioned
“Yes, the Empyreal Dragons are the last of its kind as we are the last dragons.” One dragon standing by watching Reyna talk to Doryu decided to speak out
Wow… Reyna thought to herself as she looked at all the other unwavering dragons.
This whole trip was for Reyna to process what the dragons are while trying to wrap her brain around as much information as she could. Right now, Reyna is in front of the King of the Lovech Kingdom who is a dragon and so is his wife, but they can also change himself into a human…
What more do I need to understand?
Doryu looked over at Reyna and stared at her deeply. For someone who doesn’t know s**t about this magic life, she sure is handling everything well. Maybe it’s because she's now an Empyreal herself.
“I don’t understand, I appreciate all of this information, but why would Irma want me to come into a completely different realm just to know this information?”
Reyna had more questions.
Why did Irma have to bring her to the dragon realm? Was this information a secret to other royals in the Lovech Kingdom? What exactly is this ritual and motion?!
“I do not know either, the blood of my son, so let’s find out.” Doryu replied
Blood of his son?
Blinking her grey eyes with confusion, Reyna moved her eyes to look up at Doryu as his gold eyes contained a certain fire in them as she could feel her mind getting lost within his eyes.
His eyes held power as they trapped me into them as I started to get lost.
Getting lost within her own thoughts that were clouding her mind… Reyna’s eyes dilated as she was forgetting what about what she was thinking… and she began getting lost within the thoughts of…
Wait… Zahn?
As Doryu could feel his powers beginning to grow in his human form, he decided that now was the best time... to test his son's future Queen.
