14 Stacey stared at him for a long moment. He waited, wondering if she was going to have the conversation or not. If she took off, he would follow her, but he didn’t want to have to do that. She sighed, then turned from the stairs and walked toward him. She moved around the end of the couch and sat in the chair on the opposite side of the room.
