I wait for my date to arrive. I can't help but feel a sense of dread in the pit of my stomach. I know that I agreed to this date as a means of pacifying my sister and avoiding conflict, but that doesn't make the situation any less uncomfortable. I can't shake the feeling that I'm being forced into something I don't want to do.
When my date finally arrives, I can't help but feel a little taken aback. He's tall and handsome, with chestnut hair and lovely hazel eyes. He's impeccably dressed, and I can tell by the way he carries himself that he comes from a powerful and wealthy witch coven. He's older than me and I can tell that he's used to getting what he wants.

Finally, the doorbell rings and I force a smile on my face as I go to answer it. Ava beats me to the door and opens it with a flourish, revealing my date. I can't help but be a little taken aback. He's tall and handsome, dressed impeccably in a tailored suit that accentuates his broad shoulders. He's the heir to a powerful witch coven and his status and power are undeniable.
"Harper, this is Alexander," Ava says, smiling brightly. "Alexander, this is my sister, Harper."
"It's a pleasure to meet you," Alexander says, taking my hand and giving it a gentle kiss.
"Likewise," I manage to reply, feeling a little flustered.
"I hope you don't mind, but Ava has told me so much about you that I feel like I already know you," Alexander continues, as we make our way to the car.
"Really? What has she told you?" I ask, curious despite myself.
"Just that you're smart, independent, and beautiful," he says with a grin.
I can feel myself blushing at the compliment. I can't help but be a little flattered, but at the same time, I can't shake off the feeling that this whole thing is a setup and that I'm being used as a pawn in Ava's game.

The evening goes on as Alexander and I talk, and I start to realize that he might be more than just a means to an end. He's charming, witty and easy to talk to. He's also very open minded and forward thinking, which is refreshing. He's also very interested in my thoughts and opinions, and he listens attentively to what I have to say. He's also very open about his own past relationships and how he's learned to navigate the complex world of supernatural relationships. He makes me start to question my own beliefs and makes me consider the benefits of a polyamorous relationship, given the long lives of supernatural creatures.

As Harper and Alexander settled into their seats at the restaurant, she couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. Alexander, on the other
hand, seemed completely at ease. He ordered drinks for the both of them and then turned his attention to Harper.
"So, Harper, tell me more about yourself," Alexander said with a charming smile.
Harper blushed slightly at the attention. "Well, I come from a long line of earth witches and I'm currently learning to hone my skills."
"Ah, a greenwitch," Alexander said with interest. "I come from a powerful coven myself. It's not often I get to meet someone with such a rich magical heritage."
Harper felt a spark of attraction for Alexander as she realized how similar their backgrounds were.
"So, what do you do?" she asked.
Alexander leaned in a little closer. "I'm in charge of expanding our coven's reach and power. And I must say, I'm finding myself quite drawn to you."
Harper's heart skipped a beat as she realized that Alexander was flirting with her.
"Really?" she asked, trying to play it cool.
"Yes, really," Alexander said, his gaze never leaving hers. "I can't help but feel like there's a connection between us."
Harper felt her cheeks heat up at the compliment. She couldn't help but feel drawn to Alexander as well. They spent the rest of the meal talking, laughing, and getting to know each other. By the time dinner was over, Harper was more than a little smitten with Alexander.

By the end of the night, as we say our goodbyes, I can't help but be a little disappointed that it's over. I'm not sure what the future holds, but I'm excited to find out. As we make our way to the car, I can feel the weight of my family's expectations on my shoulders.

As the night came to an end, Alexander walked Harper to the door of his car, "I had a wonderful time tonight, Harper," he said with a smile.
"I did too," Harper replied, feeling a bit flustered.
"I hope we can do this again soon," Alexander said, his hand gently touching Harper's arm.
"I'd like that," Harper said, her heart racing.
As they reached the door, Alexander stopped and turned to face Harper. "You know, I think we have a real connection," he said, looking deeply into her eyes.
"I-I do too," Harper stammered, feeling nervous and excited at the same time.
Alexander leaned in and gently placed his lips on Harper's, kissing her softly. Harper was too flustered to react at first, but as the kiss deepened, she found herself responding, kissing him back with increasing passion.
As Alexander drove Harper home, she couldn't help but admire his driving skills and physique out of the corner of her eye. Under her lashes, she took in the way his muscles flexed as he shifted gears, and how confident and in control he seemed behind the wheel. Their flirting continued throughout the ride, with Alexander holding her hand and rubbing circles on her hand with his thumb, sending shivers up her spine. The s****l tension between them was palpable, and Harper found herself matching Alexander's flirty banter.
"So, Harper, do you have any plans for the weekend?" Alexander asked with a smile.
"Not yet. I haven't had a chance to make any," Harper replied with a grin.
"Well, let me take you out. I know this great little place with the best food and drinks," Alexander offered.
"I'd love that," Harper said, her heart fluttering at the thought of another date with him.
As they pulled up to Harper's home, Alexander asked, "Can I call you Harper or do you prefer something else?"
"Harper is fine," she replied, blushing slightly.
"Alright then, Harper. I'll call you tomorrow to set up the details for our next date," Alexander said, his voice low and husky.
He leaned in and gently pressed his lips to Harper's, leaving her too flustered to react. She felt a spark of electricity between them and she knew she was in trouble.
"I'll be looking forward to it," Harper said as she stepped out of the car and walked towards her front door, her heart still racing from the kiss. Alexander waved as he drove away, and Harper couldn't help but smile at the thought of their next date. She couldn't wait to see what the future held for her and Alexander.

Ava and Michael are watching us from the front door, and I can tell that they're pleased with the choice they've made for me. I can't help but feel a little resentful of their interference in my love life. As I walked through the door, they had made their way to the living room. Ava looked up and a huge smile spread across her face.
"Well, well, well. Look at you, all glowing and happy," she teased. I couldn't help but blush at her words. I had really enjoyed my date with Alexander.
"So, how was it?" Ava asked eagerly.
"It was great. Alexander is really nice," I replied, still feeling a little dazed from the evening.
"Nice? That's all you have to say about it? Alexander is charming, handsome, and powerful. Plus, he's the heir to one of the most influential covens in the supernatural world," Ava spoke, her excitement growing with each word.
Michael chimed in, "I knew you two would hit it off. I have a good feeling about him."
Ava nodded in agreement, "I'm so glad, Harper. You deserve someone who can treat you right."
"Thanks, Ava," I said, feeling a pang of guilt for not telling her about Liam.
Ava continued, "And you know what else? I heard a rumor that Alexander is one of the candidates up for the selection for the council seats."
I was stunned. The council was the ruling body of the supernatural world and being selected was a huge honor.
"Really?" I asked, trying to hide my surprise.
"Yes, really. And if he gets selected, it could be really good for our coven," Ava said, her eyes shining with excitement.
Michael added, "I think it's great that he's interested in you. It could really benefit both of your covens."
I nodded, feeling overwhelmed by the idea of being involved with someone who had that kind of power and influence.
Just then, our parents came into the room, looking serious. "Harper, you have been summoned by the coven leader tomorrow," my mother announced.
I frowned, wondering what this could be about. Ava and Michael exchanged a worried look, but I tried to push my concerns aside. I was too tired to deal with coven politics right now.
"Goodnight, everyone," I said, giving them a small wave before heading to my room. As I settled into bed, I couldn't help but think about the future and what this summons could mean for me and Alexander.
