As I lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling, my mind is a jumbled mess of thoughts and emotions. On one hand, there's Alexander. I can't deny the intense attraction I feel towards him, the way my heart flutters every time he's near. But on the other hand, there's the coven and Ava. The expectations they have of me, the pressure to make this arrangement work for the good of our community. And then there's Ava herself, and the knowledge that she has her own motives in this. I can't help but wonder what her true goals are, and how much of this is about politics and securing alliances, and how much of it is about her own desires.
It's all so overwhelming. I want to be with Alexander, but at what cost? And what if he's aware of the coven's expectations, of the potential conflict on the horizon? The thought of being used as a pawn in some political game makes me sick to my stomach.
I try to push these thoughts away, to focus on the present moment and enjoy my time with Alexander, but they persist, nagging at the back of my mind. I don't know what the future holds, but I know one thing for sure: I need to figure out what I want and where I stand, before it's too late.

I was still feeling overwhelmed and conflicted about my relationship with Alexander, and the pressure from the coven to pursue a strategic alliance. So, I decided to bring up the elephant in the room - Michael's visions.
"Ava and Michael, I need to know - why haven't you told anyone about these visions, especially the coven leaders?" I asked, looking between the two of them.
Ava shifted in her seat, looking uncomfortable. "We didn't want to cause any panic or alarm," she said, glancing at Michael. "And we wanted to keep a low profile until we had more information."
Michael nodded in agreement. "Plus, the visions are always subject to change, and we don't want to make any decisions based on something that may not come to pass."
"But don't you think the coven leaders need to know about this?" I pressed. "If there's a chance of war, we need to be prepared. We can't just keep it to ourselves."
Ava sighed. "I know, Harper. And believe me, I've thought about this a lot. But if we go to the leaders with just a vision, it's not enough evidence to convince them. And if we're wrong, it could damage our credibility. We need to gather more information and solid evidence before we bring it to them."
I nodded, understanding their reasoning. But the thought of a potential war, and the coven not being prepared, weighed heavily on my mind.
As I continued to probe Ava and Michael about their lack of sharing Michael's visions with the coven, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I understood their reluctance, but at the same time, I couldn't ignore the potential consequences of this information falling into the wrong hands.
Ava's voice was strained as she explained that her main rival in the coven, a witch named Cove, would use this information against her. Cove had always been a thorn in Ava's side, and now, with the stakes so high, the possibility of her using Michael's visions to further her own agenda was a real concern.
I felt a surge of protectiveness for my sister and brother-in-law. I didn't want to see them get hurt by someone as cruel as Cove. I asked Ava if she had considered reaching out to the coven leaders for help.
"It's not that simple, Harper," Ava said, "Cove has a lot of support within the coven. If I go to the leaders, I risk making myself even more vulnerable. And I can't put Michael in danger either."
I could see the worry etched on Ava's face and I knew that I had to do something to help them. The question was, what could I do?
I couldn't help but think about Alexander and the role he could play in all of this. If I went through with this arranged match and married Alexander, it could give Ava the support she needed within the coven. But at what cost? The idea of being with someone just for political gain was unsettling, but the thought of not being able to help my family was even worse. I was stuck in between a rock and a hard place, weighing my own desires against the good of the coven. I needed to figure out what was best for everyone involved and what I was truly comfortable with.

Harper's phone rang, and she saw that it was Alexander calling. She took a deep breath and answered the call.
"Hello, Alexander," she said.
"Harper, I hope I'm not interrupting anything," Alexander replied.
"No, not at all. What can I do for you?" Harper asked.
"I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me tonight. I thought it would be nice to take you out on a proper date," Alexander said.
Harper felt her heart flutter at the invitation. Despite the conflict in her mind about the coven's expectations and Ava's motivations, she couldn't deny her attraction to Alexander.
"A proper date, huh? Sounds intriguing," Harper responded playfully. "What did you have in mind?"
"I have a surprise planned, but let's just say that it involves a romantic dinner under the stars and a night of dancing," Alexander revealed, his words sending shivers down Harper's spine.
"That sounds amazing," Harper said, smiling to herself. "I'd love to go on a date with you tonight."
"Great! I'll pick you up at eight. Wear something that sparkles, my lady," Alexander said, his voice dripping with charm.
"I'll make sure to wear my dancing shoes too," Harper added, giggling at Alexander's playful tone.
"I can't wait, Harper. This is going to be a night to remember," Alexander said before hanging up the phone, leaving Harper with a thrill of excitement and nervousness for their upcoming date. She couldn't shake the feeling that everything was becoming more complicated, but she was determined to enjoy the night with Alexander.
