Lunch with Liam

It was a crisp, bright day and Harper was already hard at work when she received a message from Liam. She opened her phone and read the message, a smile slowly spreading across her face. Liam was checking in on her, asking if she wanted to catch up. Harper quickly replied, agreeing to meet up for lunch.

Harper frowned, "Liam, what do you mean by everything that's happened?"

Liam's smile faded a little.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you. I've been keeping tabs on you. I was concerned after the events with Jasper and the demon."

Harper was taken aback, "How do you know about these events? They're not public knowledge."

Liam leaned in and lowered his voice, "I have my ways, Harper. Let's just say that some of us are more connected than others. I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

Harper was still wary, but she couldn't deny the genuine concern in Liam's eyes.

Liam shifted in his seat, sensing Harper's suspicion. He decided to change the subject and brought up his human girlfriend Sarah.

"Speaking of checking in, Sarah says hello," he said with a genuine smile.

Harper relaxed, grateful for the shift in conversation, "How is she adjusting to everything?"

"She's handling it surprisingly well," Liam said, pride clear in his voice. "She's been studying a lot and asking a lot of questions. I think she's starting to understand our world a bit better now."

Harper nodded in agreement, impressed by Sarah's bravery.

"It takes a strong person to be able to handle all of this," she said.

Liam chuckled, "Yeah, she's definitely strong. I'm lucky to have her."

As they continued their conversation over lunch, Liam's demeanor changed as he spoke of his girlfriend, Sarah.

"You know, Sarah has been asking me a lot of questions lately about the supernatural world. She's particularly interested in some practices, like polyamory," Liam said, taking a sip of his drink.

Harper raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Really? That's a bold topic for a human to be curious about."

"Yes, she's always been open-minded," Liam said with a proud smile. "I'm actually hoping to introduce her to some of my pack members."

"She's been doing a lot of reading on the subject and seems fascinated by the idea of having more people involved in the relationship," Liam said, taking a bite of his sandwich.

Harper raised an eyebrow. "Really?" she asked, "What does she want to know about it?"

Liam shrugged. "Everything. She's curious about how it works, the dynamics, and everything in between."

"And what do you think about it?" Harper asked.

"I'm open to it," Liam replied. "I mean, I love Sarah and I want her to be happy. And if adding more people to our relationship makes her happy, then I'm all for it."

"Have you talked about it with her?" Harper asked.

Liam nodded. "Yeah, we have. We've even talked about the possibility of finding someone else to bring into our relationship."

Harper nodded, understanding where Liam was coming from. "Well, it's not an easy decision. But I'm here if you need someone to talk to," she said, offering a supportive smile.

Liam smiled back at her, grateful for the understanding. "Thanks, Harper. That means a lot to me."

Harper nodded, impressed by Sarah's curiosity and willingness to learn. "Well, she's lucky to have you as a guide, Liam. Just make sure she fully understands the consequences before delving too deep into it."

Liam nodded, understanding the gravity of Harper's words. They continued their conversation, talking about Sarah's eagerness to learn and the future of their relationship.

And with that, their conversation shifted to other topics, but the discussion about polyamory and the potential changes to Liam and Sarah's relationship stayed with Harper long after their lunch was over.
