"I'm just saying we have a long evening ahead of us. Pace yourself."
Tempest rolled her eyes at Damon's words. She can pace herself... kinda... maybe... sorta...
"Stefan," Elijah broke the silence, "Where is the lovely Elena tonight?"
"I don't know. Ask Damon." Stefan gave his brother a hard look, making Klaus chuckle and the shifter struggle to suppress her own laughter at her brother's pettiness.
"I'm sorry." The blond Original said to his brother and pressed a finger to his lips to hide the smile forming. "You missed so much,"
"Ah trouble in paradise--"
"One more word about Elena and this dinner is over." Stefan snapped, cutting Elijah off.
"Yeah, if I keep hearing her name, I will not be held against my actions." The redhead said, with her lips pursed. She was pushing some food around on her plate, a sickening taste now in her mouth. She would very happily hand Elena's head on a plate over to the Mikaelsons, but...
Damon agreed, "You know what, probably best just to keep Elena in the do not discuss pile."
Thank God.
"It's just the allure of the Petrova doppelgänger is still so strong, what do you say, brother? Should we tell them about Tatia?" Klaus looked over to Elijah.
Aagh!!!
Elijah shook his head, "Now why should we discuss matters long since resolved?"
"Well, given their shared affection for both Elena and Katerina, I think our guests might be curious to learn the originator of the Petrova line."
Tempest slammed her forehead on the table beside her plate, "What the f**k did I just say?"
"So why don't we move this dinner along and discuss the terms to our proposal."
"Yessss," Tempest quietly hissed.
"Very simple." Damon said, "Klaus gets his coffin back. In exchange, He and the rest of the original extended family leave Mystic Falls forever. Me, Stefan, Tempest and Elena live happily ever after, no grudges."
The Salvatore sister studied her older brother, then looked at the older Original.
"Deal sounds fair, brother," Elijah commented, turning to face his brother.
The Tiger Hybrid then looked at the Wolf Hybrid, his face dropped from that adorable amused face to a drop dead sexy serious one.
If he were to ever look at her like that, her panties would be halfway to China in less than a second.
Oh my God Temper, stop!!
You wouldn't tell Klaus to stop...
Shut up, Brain.
Make me.
"I don't think you understand. I can't do that because Elena's doppelgänger blood ensures that I will always have more hybrids to fight those that oppose me, I will never leave them behind."
Klaus then turned his head to stare at Tempest, "And you. You've piqued my interest and I'd loved nothing more than to figure you out."
The woman really didn't know why his voice and choice of words send shivers down her spine. And she didn't know whether she liked it or not.
You didn't like it. You loved it.
Shut up Brain, don't make me come up there.
Ooo, I'm so scared.
Her reaction would have been to flirt like the horny feline she is with this devastatingly handsome hybrid, but it might not be the best of times seeing as the same devastatingly handsome hybrid was threatening to kill her brothers and their... pet.
Tempest tilted her head instead, "I'd like to see you try, Hot Stuff."
The blond smirked at her, those pretty blue eyes twinkling with humour, "Let's say I do leave Elena here under your protection. What then? How long before one of you turns her into a vampire? Or worse. How long before she dies, caught between your feuding? You see, each one of you truly believes that you're the one that can protect her and that is simply a delusion," Klaus explained.
"Gentlemen, the worst thing for Elena Gilbert is the two of you." He added.
"Tell me about it," Tempest growled darkly. "It's all just a remix of you two and Katherine."
"I'm going to go get some air." Damon stood pushing his chair back, leaving the room.
"I'll deal with this." Elijah walked after Damon.
Tempest stared after them and huffed, before stabbing at a piece of meat.
"All this talk about history has made me thirsty, what do you say, care for a drink?" He offered, walking to the compelled waitress. He moved her blonde hair before sinking his teeth into her neck.
Klaus dropped the body of the poor girl and wiped the blood that dripped down his chin, smirking at the two of them, "Delicious. Aged to perfection."
The redhead watched him lick the blood from his lips and she had to physically stop herself from doing the same. Maybe even lick his lips for him.
"Well," Stefan stood. "I guess the only reason you agreed to this evening, Klaus, is to drive a wedge between me and my brother."
She frowned slightly, upset he didn't mention her. But that's how it always be, I guess.
Klaus denied, "Oh no, you're doing that well enough on your own. Because of Elena, you're going to lose your brother, and more than likely your sister, and you only have yourself to blame."
"I'd never leave Stefan." Tempest whispered and looked up to stare into his eyes, "I'd never leave either of my brothers."
"Everyone has limits, love. I'm sure Stefan has already pushed yours over and over again, but yet you keep crawling back to him like a dog. Why is that?"
She jumped up, close to snapping at him when Damon and Elijah reentered the dining room. Her brother seemed on edge, while the suited Original had a cool exterior.
"What do you say, Klaus? It's time for you to put something on the table. We've made our offer now you counter." Damon stood next to his siblings.
"Okay," Klaus nodded. "I offer Elena's future happiness. You see, what she needs right now is to be rid of you lot, and fall in love with a human. Maybe that nice football player, you know the blonde one."
"Matt Donovan? That cutie pie?" Tempest scrunched her nose up, her attitude doing a quick one-eighty.
"Yeah, why not? They'll marry, live a long and fruitful life, and pop out a perfect family."
"And continue the Petrova bloodline, and you'll never run out of hybrids." The redhead finished, realizing his true intentions.
"Consider it a small return on my investment in her well-being, see, after you hand me back the coffin I'll ensure her safety for the rest of her natural life. So, what do you say Stefan? Do we have a deal?" Klaus held his hand out.
