Chapter 4Serena stopped at the gangway to the yacht, a nondescript solid-black rental model that appeared to have sat on the tarmac for a few months, cobwebs clinging to the struts. Towering over the yacht was a starliner, so huge it kept its antigrav units running while plant-side, or it would have collapsed under its own weight. The hum of multiple gravreducers blotted out most other sound. She would have climbed into the yacht just to get away from the noise, but activity at a cargo bay loading door caught her attention.
