Ian followed me into the living room after Carson dropped me off. He grabbed my hand and asked, “What happened? You and Carson seem to be getting along.”
“Carson and I came to an agreement that doesn’t concern you. So, we decided to be on better terms for everyone's sake,” I explained.
“That’s good, I guess,” Ian said with confusion.
“Like I said, our agreement will still go through like everyone wants,” I said nonchalantly.
“I’m just so confused about it,” Ian replied.
I left the room before Ian could stop me by asking for details about the new agreement Carson, and I agreed upon. Ava was waiting in my room when I entered, putting my bag by the door.
