Bree's POV On getting back home from work, I noticed that the place was unusually quiet once again, save for the sobbing sounds made by no one else but Hazel. I rushed in quickly and squatted by her side with my right hand on her back as we both gazed at her mother who shook terribly on the mat. “What happened?” I asked as she sobbed even harder, tears oozing from her eyes. Her brothers who sat on their chairs looked on with their arms folded, shaking their heads. “The drugs aren't working anymore,” she revealed, spreading her arms in frustration. “We've been trying but it's just not working.
