Hand in hand, Jaden and I left the private room and headed straight to the manager's office to discuss the terms of my contract termination.
Jaden's resolve to help me gladdened my heart as I smiled all the way to the office, grateful for his help.
Once at the door, I shook off every atom of fear in me and hoped that somehow, Jaden was going to make that heartless man release me from the contract even if I had a feeling that he might fail.
