Bree’s POV
As I watched Maya leave, I shook my head in disappointment but I remained silent, even as Alpha Auden stood by my side.
We turned and faced each other and I opened my mouth, hoping to say something to him but I couldn't. I was tongue-tied and I couldn't explain it. All I could do was let out a subtle smile to express my satisfaction with what he had done but that was all.
He sighed and placed his hands on my shoulders with a smile of his own. As he gazed into my eyes, I thought he was about to say something or plant a kiss on my lips once again since we were the only ones in the location but none of these did he do.
He just kept staring into my eyes for about a minute and after that, he took his hands away from my shoulders and sighed once again.
