Days later.

I entered a coffee shop from far from work, just ten minute walk.

Been working so hard for the past few days and I take coffee to stay awake. I know too much caffeine isn't good, I need it.

I drank was y coffee and walked to work when suddenly someone bumped into me and my coffee spilled on my white shirt and on the scarf I cherished for years, he left without apologizing.

I rushed into the office.

"What happened?"

Michelle asked.

"I was just enjoying my coffee with the weather when suddenly a guy bumped into me and spilled the coffee on my shirt and scarf, nothing is on my pants. He ran away without apologizing"

I said trying to use a tissue to wipe it off which isn't working.

"What will you do? You are covered in coffee"

I'm frustrated.

"Oh, I think I have a blue top here, it should be your size, I've been sleeping here for the last three days cause I have things to do"

"Please, I need it, I don't think this will leave with just using tissue"

She went to her desk and brought out the top.

"Thank you so much"

I appreciated.

"Hurry before the guys come in"

"Ok"

I rushed into the restroom and changed.

I came out.

"You look better"

Michelle said.

"Thanks, I will return it tomorrow"

"Good morning"

Daniel greeted.

Daniel is the other guy, he doesn't like interacting with people, in the past few days, we've been getting along.

"Morning"

I replied to him.

"We have news, Drea, you are going to the hotel Jason Beckham is staying, we got something that he is staying there with his new girlfriend"

Michael said as he came in.

"A new girlfriend?"

Mitchelle asked looking confused.

"Yes, you know how he has his way with women, not the first time"

Micheal said.

Yeah, I saw the news about him online, this is not his first time.

"Where is the hotel?"

I asked.

"White Palace room 101, you have to leave now, Michelle, accompany here because it is her first time, I'm trusting you with this"

"Ok"

Michelle replied to him.

"Take a camera with you, take pictures as proof"

"Ok"

We left with my car, I bought it two days ago.

We arrived at the hotel.

"How are we going to get inside?"

I asked.

"I will act"

Michelle said.

"How?"

"Watch me"

We entered the hotel.

"You want a room?"

A lady who I'm guessing works here.

"My husband is here with his mistress"

Michelle said breaking down in tears.

The lady looked at her confused.

"Yes, I saw him come in here"

I added.

"I'm sorry, I can't help you"

"Ok, I understand"

Michelle wiped her fake tears.

We turned back to leave the hotel, and Michelle stopped and said.

"We will run to room 101, I think it's on the left side, I came here with my ex-boyfriend so I know the room"

"Ok, you are saying we should run to Chris's room?"

"yes, that is the only way"

"Ok"

"We'll run on my count, three, two, one"

We ran inside.

"Room 101 is on the fifth room on the left, go, I will distract them"

"Ok"

I took out the camera and went to the room.

I stood in front of the room and knocked.

"Who is it?"

A voice that sounds like a lady asked, I'm guessing the voice is the new girlfriend.

"Room service"

I said, holding onto the camera.

The lady opened the door, I took the camera and snapped 5 pictures, and ran away.

She yelled.

I saw two guys, I'm guessing they are securities.

They dragged me out, I saw Michelle outside already, she was standing beside my car.

She noticed me and ran towards me.

"Were you able to get anything?"

She said hoping, I looked at her with a sad face.

"The securities caught me fast, I couldn't buy you time, it's....."

"I took pictures"

I blurted out before she could finish.

"Really? That's good news"

She said out of excitement.

"Show me"

I brought out the camera and showed her, the second picture was clear.

"Ok, we got it, let's go back"

We entered my car and left.

"We are back"

Michelle announced.

"Did you get anything?"

Micheal stood up from his desk and approached us.

"I took pictures of his new girlfriend"

I said.

"That's good, publish it now"

Michael said.

I went to my desk, sat down, and published it.

"Done"

I said as I clicked on enter on my keyboard.

"Ok, let's head to the room, Mr. Baker is here"

Daniel said.

"Mr. Baker?"

I asked.

"He is the founder of Channel news, the chairman"

Micheal said.

"Ok"

I've never heard the name of the founder.

"Let's go before you know you know who comes in"

Michelle said.

"Let's go"

Micheal added.

We left for the room.

We entered and saw other reporters, somewhere crime, some were healthy, it's written on their id cards.

People started applauding, I turned to see who they are applauding for.

I couldn't believe it.

It's Mr baker, My Father!

I almost fell Michelle held my hands.

"Are you ok?"

She asked.

I nodded positively.

He walked in and smiled, a lady was by his side, maybe his assistant or something.

I had no idea I was working in his company, before I left them, they had a broadcast station, it was doing so well but wasn't this big.

"I called you here to share something, your new CEO of Channel news"

He turned to the lady by his side.

We applauded.

"I'm Mandy Dominic, looking forward to working with you"

Wow, Mandy, we don't get along then, I hope she's changed now, CEO of Channel news.

I wonder how mother is doing, I mean Mrs. Dominic and Justin, the eldest son, I wonder where he is now.

We left the board room.

"That family is complicated"

Michelle said.

"Why do you say so?"

I asked.

"Well, they have a son, he is the eldest, I don't know why they didn't make him the CEO, I don't like working with Mandy, she is so hard to work with"

"Do you know what the son is up to now?"

"I think he came back from Germany two weeks ago, he left for Germany when he was in high school, that's all I heard"

High school? Life has been good to him.

"Maybe he doesn't want to become the CEO"

I said.

"I don't think so, well, it's none of my business, I'm working to get paid so as long I'm getting paid, I have no problem with whosoever is the CEO"

Michelle said.

"What about Mrs. Dominic? Doesn't she has a position here?"

I asked.

She laughed.

"She doesn't, no, she is the chairwoman but I don't see her use, she doesn't come to work, she just goes around shopping, I can't blame her, if I was a chairwoman, I won't step foot here"

We laughed. Things have changed over the years.

"Would you two stop chitchatting and get to work? You have a new CEO and the phones have been ringing because of the picture we uploaded"

Michael said.

I went to my desk.

(phone conversation)

"Hi, this is channel news, how can I help you?"

"Is the story true? Who is the lady?"

"Yes, the story is true, we don't know who the lady is, bye"

I hang up, if I continue replying to them, they won't stop asking questions.

"What is going on here?"

Mandy came in.

"We uploaded a picture of Jason's new girlfriend and calls are coming in"

Micheal said.

"Ok, continue"

She left.

"First, we need to identify the girl so that these calls will reduce"

Micheal said.

"Ok"
