Chapter 6

~Azura~

I woke up about 4 days ago and Talia did too, I got told 2 days ago about Francis and...like...fully blew to the point I've damaged my throat even more than what the songs I was singing had...so now I'm not allowed to speak and I can't hear either so me and Talia have both been signing to each other because Talia is on vocal rest as she lost her voice through screaming when she woke up but that won't stop us from communicating to each other. I'm sitting on the bed next to Talia, I had broken my arm and neck so I have other people push me in a wheelchair with my oxygen tank on the back and my IV's also on a stand attached to the chair, but I am allowed to sit on Talia's bed next to her, honestly if it weren't for Talia I'd of bolted the second I woke up but she's been my anchor through and through, I wish.....I only wish she wasn't a prisoner...that she was free so we could see each other more.....anyway, we was in her hospital room on her bed talking...or should I say signing as we're both on strict vocal rest 'I don't miss having guards surround me' I sign, Talia also signing replies 'it's coz I'm a prisoner, I mean....come on...at least they let you in and left the room so we can have twin time' I shrug 'true. Anyway, don't you ever play hero again, I could have lost you. I can't lose you again...I've just got you back' then Talia signs back 'you're my twin...I'll always protect you....no matter what the cost' 'I've missed you so much Tally' I sign using her sign name 'I've missed you too Azzy, I really have' Talia signs back also using my sign name, I then sigh and sign 'you know I'm getting transferred back to Shadow View next week when we get discharged from here' 'and when you do, I'll be on my best behaviour so I can visit you, hopefully I'll be up for parole soon thanks to you' 'all I do is keep sending money to the best lawyer around' 'as soon as I'm out you'll be kicking me out you're room' Talia signs smiling, I smile back 'I would never do that' me and Talia then hug, when we break from the hug I sign 'hey Tally, when you're released from prison...will you join me?' Talia with a shocked expression signs 'seriously?' I nod then sign 'yeah...I mean...our voices have always worked so perfect together, so why not?' Talia quickly responds 'hell to the yeah' 'awesome' I sign then we both hug each other again.

When we break the hug Talia signs 'I love you Azzy' again using my sign name 'love you too Tally' I begin also using her sign name, then carry on 'so anyway how's....' but then Talia turns to the door so I look in the same direction that she's looking in.

Myself, John and the detective walk in the room, Azura and Talia looks between us 3 then turns to me and then signs 'if this is an ambush get lost, we're not escapees or s**t like that, so get lost' I also seemed to of forgotten to warn the detective that Azura gets very protective of Talia, Azura doesn't take her gaze off me....I guess she's still not use to me being a police officer yet, which I can understand I just need to show her that like John I'm not the bad guy. If I weren't use to Azura her gazes would make me uncomfortable but I'm use to it now, I just smile at her then say to the detective "sorry I forgot to tell you..." John looks at Azura causing Azura to give him a deathly glare "Miss Azura Jenson can be a little spitfire...good to see you've not changed spitfire" which seemed to gain a smirk off Azura as Talia then puts her arm over Azura's shoulder. The detective looks at me "thanks for the heads up, please tell me Miss Talia Jenson isn't the same" she says almost sounding like she's begging for Talia to not be like Azura, I chuckle nervously rubbing the back of my neck as Talia signs 'guess you'll find out' Azura and Talia look at each other then both start signing at the same time 'take a chance, take a chance, take a chance chance' they then both chuckle "Jenson's! Vocal rest!" I say to which they both roll their eyes 'bore' they both sign at the same time, I shake my head then look at the detective "usually not" I begin, then carry on "unless she's teamed up with Azura, then she can be a bit...cheeky" the detective sighs "oh great" then says to the pair....making sure Azura can see her properly "you 2 aren't going to make it easy are you?" Azura then signs back "hell no! And don't even think about separating us coz I will make it hell for you' the detective then leans to me and John while asking "is she always like this?" John nods and I add "especially since the treatment but one of the side effects is being much more easily irritated" "oh great" the detective says sighing causing me and John to chuckle while Azura and Talia smirk at each other, I just shake my head then say and sign "ok terror 2" which gains a mischievous smirk of the pair as the detective is also talking and signing "we won't separate you.....if you BOTH co-operate and answer some questions. Do we have a deal?" Azura and Talia look at each other and nod, then Talia signs 'ok...we can work with that' I then smile at the pair and say "thanks, I really appreciate it" it's then Azura who signs next 'just do it before I change my mind' I then facepalm myself as John says "there's the Azura we know" the detective then looks at the pair and says "right....so Miss Jenson..." then Talia and Azura sign 'yes detective?' I had to chuckle as the detectives shoulders dropped and she put her head in her hands "oh boy" she sighs, Talia and Azura sharing another hug.

I'm in the park with the rest of the gang standing on a tree stump while talking to the other serpents updating them on the current situation "our king has fallen...he's died" I begin, then carry on "our queen is still in hospital at this moment in time and will be for a while, so as 3rd in command...I'm stepping up until our queen returns. I promise you all that I will find out who killed our king and injured our queen, no matter what....I can promise that to you all, and WHEN I do...I will make them pay" I say narrowing my eyes as I glare at them all letting them know I intent to stick to my promise. Francis's killer will pay.
