Chapter 23 “YOU MISSED DINNER AGAIN last night.” His dad said from his study, as Carter walked past it to get the front door. He turned around and peered through the double doors. “Yes, sir. I had some stuff to do.” His dad looked him up and down and then glanced at the clock on the wall, “It’s early. You got more stuff to do this early in the morning?” “Yes, sir.
