Chapter 25 CARTER MOVED IN HIS apartment and was happily settling into a routine. He didn’t recall a time in his life when he felt he belonged somewhere so much as the restaurant, except maybe fishing with the guys and playing music at the bookstore. Not only did the restaurant need him, but he was good at cooking and running things a bit. Sam had asked him to go for a walk one morning, and Carter was worried he’d done something wrong.
