“I'M SO GLAD YOU ARE AWAKE. Carter, it’s going to be okay.” His mom reassured him through tears. “Everyone is here now and we are so happy to see you. Dad, dad’s here.” The shadow moved and another much larger one took its place.
“Hey Son, we are so glad you came back to us. We sure missed you. Dr. Leigh is on the way and he’s going to take good care of you.”
“Hey buddy, I’m ready to go fishing, the way we used to. I… I missed you brother. And Rodney, he’s here too, he said you better get up soon, and teach us how it’s done, because between him and me, we can’t catch enough for ourselves, let alone the whole family. That’s you. Right, Rodney?”
“Hey, man. Hey, I’m uh, so, I can’t tell you how sorry…,” Rodney choked up, “I love you.”
