“HELLO AGAIN” LISA GREETED, “Two times in one day, you must have someone in the hospital. Hope they’ll be okay.”
“Thank you. Uh, no I don’t have anyone here. I am… wow, what am I doing? The coffee is good. No, that’s not true,” Carter added, “I, well, it’s the couple in the corner.”
“Oh, yeah, Black and Pearl,” she leaned over the counter and lowered her voice, “We all watch. I’m surprised they haven’t caught onto us by now. But they don’t even notice our interest in them.”
“Well, I’m here in hopes I’ll witness the day they actually talk to each other.”
Lisa laughed, “You and everybody else in the hospital. Ned, the security supervisor wanted to start a pool to see who talks first, but Mrs. Griffin, the lady in the gift shop wouldn’t let him. My bet’s on Black.”
