Chapter 3

Arjun

Sakshi.! That's the only name running in my mind since seven days. Yeah, it's been a week already that I met her.

After the last encounter I never saw her again.. I still remember that day when I was busy looking at her face while I realized she probably was feeling uncomfortable under my gaze.

I tried to act normal infront of her but I knew my face held a different emotion that time. I just hope I din't freak her out.

And these few days I missed her although I was never with her. I don't know what to name this feeling I have for her, but I know it's true and pure and all I want is get to know her more..

I tried every possible way to see which class she actually belong to, but whenever I try or whomever I ask none knew Sakshi there.

"Thinking about Sakshi?", Aarav asking stressing her name

I nodded looking at him.

"I don't think she's Sakshi", he said

"Means?", I asked back

"We searched the entire interior designing department and there's no one names Sakshi.. either she lied her name or may be she is from another department", Aarav said

He was right though, it must be either of these.. and I shall I find out soon, I wouldn't give up on her so easily.

"Stop smiling to yourself", Aarav smiled sheepishly

"I know what to do", I smirked

"And what's that?", Aarav asked

"I'll show you tomorrow", I winked

"Fine Dumbo, I'll wait", he glared

"Who Dumbo, what Dumbo.. you Dumbo calling me Dumbo being a Dumbo yourself", I answered back

"Nevermind, after all this I don't even need to call you Dumbo, you yourself know that", he laughed

That's ok, it's normal for both of us.. it would be a miracle if we both have a casual talk.

Next day I reached college and bunking my morning classes I moved to her department building and sneaked into the office room without anyone's notice while Aarav waited outside for me looking if anyone is coming this way.

Damn, I don't even know where the files are placed.. what am I even gonna search for..?

I moved forward where I found a bundle of files lying. I took each file one by one going through it if I can find the students details.

And yeah I found it, confirming the department and year I flipped the pages to see her details.

And finally I found her small passport size photo along with her details to a side.. god, she looks so pretty in this passport photo while many look funny..

"Arjun hurry up, there's someone seems to come this way..", Aarav said

"Oh yeah, just a second", I said

I quickly took a snap, by the way I found her friend's photo also so just in case I took her details snap also and keeping everything at place I moved out.

"Come let's go, that sir seem to come here", Aarav said

I nodded and we both went away from the other way and sighed in relief as it was successful now.

"What's her name?", Aarav asked excited

"Lemmi see, I couldn't look into her details inside", I informed

I opened my phone sitting near the stairs, I saw her photo again and instantly a smile formed my lips.. and her name..

Divya..!!

Divya Sharma..!!

Such a beautiful name, just like her.. my Divya..

"Anusha Khanna", Aarav uttered

"Huh?", I asked

"Your Divya's friend.. Anusha", he smiled

"Why are you smiling?", I asked raising my eyebrow

"I don't know, I liked irritating her although it was just once we actually spoke.. she's fire", he said looking elsewhere

"I see", I smirked

"Shutup.. so now what?", He asked

"Come", I winked

It's been a week I met him for the first and last time.. Arjun..!!

But wait, why am I even thinking of him..?

We are now in the class, and I was noting down the important points our professor was explaining.

"Send me the notes later", Anu said looking at my book

"Why don't you take snaps now itself?", I asked

"You know I'm lazy", she yawned

"Sleepy?", I asked

"Obviously, this subject is itself very boring.. it's complete theory Yaar", Anu winched

"Yeah that's true though.. anyhow I'll send the notes this evening", I said

"Ok come, let's bunk next class ok?", Anu asked

"Um no, let's atleast attend regularly the first few weeks", I said

"You also know that we listen to the classes only the first few days.. and later both us would just stare at there faces and nothing would enter out mind", she said

"Yes but..", I tried saying but she spoke up

"We anyhow at last would study on our own.. and if you say about attendence then we all know our principal is so kind that he gives us free minimum attendence for everyone every year", she smiled

"Hm ok fine.. moreover I know it's waste arguing with you", I glared

"Then why do even try? Now come", she held my hand moving outside

Giving up, I moved along with her. We where going near the ground while I heard a voice.

"Divya", I heard

I turned around to find him.. Arjun!!

What's he doing here? And wait, did he just call me Divya? Din't Anu tell that I'm Sakshi?

Does that mean he got to my name? How and why?

"Divya Sharma from interior designing department.. nice name Divya", Arjun smiled

My eyes popped out hearing his words. Whereas even Anu looked the same..

"I'm Arjun Malhotra from BBM", he smiled

I din't know what to speak, he kept looking at me probably expecting me to say something but I felt all blank.

"I have your phone number and address also, but I would be happy if you give that yourself.. so no worries, I'm not gonna save your number yet", he said casually

My number? He has my number also? Suddenly I felt very nervous and scared listening to his words.

"So Divya..", he was saying but I interrupted

"What do you want?", I asked choking

Yes, I was almost on the verge of tears as if it may fall down any moment.

"Hey Divya, what happened.. are you ok?", He asked and I could sence he's worried

"Divi come", Anu said taking me away from there

I din't think anymore and moved away from them. And by the time we where out of there sight I burst out crying.

Anu hugged me instantly rubbing my back to calm me down. But what do I do, his words are still making new freak out.

I'm unable to think straight with all the things running in my head.

"Anu.. he.. he just..", I was trying to form words

"Shh Divi, I know.. that's ok chill calm down.. he just casually said all that.. nothing serious ok? So don't worry, I'll talk to him fine?", Anu said

"No that's ok, leave.. I just don't want him to come to me again", I said backing off

"Hm but still, lemmi have a word with him.. you don't worry, just wash your face and come fresh.. meanwhile I'll just come", Anu said

I simply nodded and moved to the washroom. I looked at myself in the mirror, I look all red and clumsy.

I quickly washed my face and confirming that I look fine I moved out but couldn't find Anu there.

I thought she was saying just like that, did she really go to talk with Arjun?

I moved forward looking for her while I saw Arjun's friend approaching me.. umm, he's Aarav I guess..

"Umm sorry if you felt uncomfortable for what Arjun did.. but trust me he isn't bad, may the way he choose scared you but he's genuine and harmless", Aarav said

I didn't know what to answer, it's true that I can't judge Arjun based on a couple of meets.. but what he did surely dint go well with me..

It also felt creepy that he got my number as well my other there details and somewhere it scared me to s**t.

"Hmm", I just hummed at Aarav not knowing what to speak

I moved towards her class when I already found her coming out along with her friend Anusha.

I moved close and softly called out her name, and her shocked expression was worth watching.

She seems extremely shocked when I told her details, so to lighten the situation I introduced myself.

"So Divya..", I was gonna speak but she interrupted

"What do you want?", She choked

I looked her, it felt like she would end up crying any moment. Her face was all red with her moist eyes and I was scared suddenly looking at her.

"Hey Divya, what happened.. are you ok?", I asked worried

Before she could say anything Anusha took her away from the place and I stood not understanding what just happened.

I tried to go behind them, but stopped thinking it might not be right..

Did I hurt her in any way? I wish I didn't..!!

While I was still in the same place thinking of her I found Anusha coming towards us..

"Arjun right?", She asked

"Um.. yes", I replied

"I'm Anusha, well you shouldn't have done that", she said

"I was just trying to be friendly with her", I said slowly

"I know Arjun, but I guess that's not how you approach.. you seriously scared the s**t out of her.. not just her name, you said you have her number and address as well.. won't she freak out knowing that some unknown person have her details?", She asked a little loud

"Umm sorry, I din't think this much.. I liked her, so I only wanted to know her more", I said

"Look Arjun, I don't know how you are or what you actually feel for her.. but I suggest please stay away from her", She said moving away

"Anusha wait", I shouted and she turned around

"I'm sorry for what I did, but I'm not going to stay away from her.. I'll give her time, I'll wait till she feels comfortable with me.. but I shall not back off", I said confidently

"What do you even feel for her? What do you want huh?", She said angrily

"I like her Anusha, this was something I'm experiencing the first time.. I accept I did flirt with a lot, I also had a couple of girlfriends before.. but honestly what I felt with Divya was something new to me..

I don't know if I love her, coz love is something big and I don't wanna rush into things this early.. but I like her, something beyond liking.. I'm not asking her to be my girlfriend, atleast a good friend with whom she share her happiness and sorrows..

I know I just met once or twice before, but my feelings are genuine for her.. I din't know that I would scare her like this but I seriously regret my words now", I said everything honestly

I looked at Anusha who was now looking at me with a different emotion which I couldn't know what.

"And what if she doesn't want to be your friend?", She asked

"Then I shall wait.. if not today then some day I believe she will trust me as a friend", I said

And she smiled.. smiled? She was just scolding me with her red eyes, now what happened?

"Ok fine, go ahead.. but remember one thing, she's too fragile and very emotional.. I trust you with your words although I don't know you, only coz I saw the genuineness in your eyes.. don't you dare break that", she narrowed her eyes

"Sure sure, you can always trust me with her", I grinned wide

"Fine I'll leave then, but careful ok? Don't scare her again.. take baby steps", she warned

"Yeah I promise, I'll be careful from now on", I smiled

She smiled back and left the place and I found Aarav coming back..

"Where did you go?", I asked

"I just apologized Divya on behalf.. actually, I just went to look for her as Anusha was here..", he said

I smiled and simply hugged him..
