Chapter 1

Divya

I abruptly wokeup from my sleep looking at my surroundings.. the same old nightmare..

Although not very frequently, I get these nightmares at times which was once a bitter past in my life.

I looked at the time and it was seven, nevermind I any how had to wake-up to attend my first day of my final year today.

I have always wished to become an interior designer, and just one last year and I shall be working on it. And now that I turned 20, makes me feel like a adult crossing my teenage life.

I quickly got ready and went down to find my brother Siddardh Sharma already waiting for me. He's three years elder to me of 23 now and he's that one person whom I feel free to share my happiness as well my sorrows which at time can't be shared with our parents.

I love him so much, more than my parents.. and he loves me back even more.

"Good Morning Bhai", I wished him

"Good Morning Divi", he smiled

"Mom what's for breakfast?", I asked being hungry

"You asked for sandwich the other day right, so here it is today", she smiled

"And din't make my favourite Puri", dad pouted

"This isn't any restaurant Raghav that I cook differ varieties for everyone.. it's just that it's divi's first day in her final year so I din't wanted to disappoint her", mom said

"I know darling, that's why I often ask you to open a restaurant for me", dad laughed along with Bhai

My parents, Sudha Sharma and Raghav Sharma are my fun loving parents unlike any other strict ones. I feel lucky to have them as my parents.

Coming from a upper middle class family, my dad works as an employee in an IT company while my brother is already working since an year.

"Shall we go?", Bhai asked post my breakfast

I nodded smiling and left to his car while dad already left in his car.

"You fine? You looked a little gloomy when you came down", Bhai asked

"Um.. the same nightmare, but I'm fine now" I smiled genuinely

He's the only one who knows about my nightmares along with my bestie Anusha Khanna.. although my parents new my past I din't want them to know of my nightmares.

Oh yes Anusha, I totally forgot about her.. I quickly picked my phone and dailed her number.

"Hello Anu, I'm so sorry it just skipped my mind.. I'm on the way, Be ready ok?", I said immediately when she picked

"f**k you i***t, I asked you to wakeup me up coz eventually I offed my alarm and slept again.. come a little slow I should get ready", she said annoyed

"Ok calm down, go get ready.. we will be there in some time", I said hanging the call

"Bhai go to Anu's house, her scooty got into a repair itseems", I informed

He nodded and drove towards Anu's house.

"I'll see and come", I said going inside her house

"Anu", I called out

"She's still in her room Divya, go and see", her mom smiled

I nodded going upstairs and found her still combing her hair.

"No new students are joining our class that you are trying to impress them", I said

"I know i***t, I'm getting ready for myself.. also, when it's your mistake that you forgot to call me you have no right to blame me now", She glared

"Fine come soon, Bhai is waiting down", I informed

"Oh yeah, even Siddharth Bhai is there right.. ok come let's go", she said looking at herself for one last time

"Hello Bhai", Anu greeted Bhai

"Hey Anu, how are you?", Bhai asked

"I'm good Bhai, how's your work going on?", Anu asked

"All good", Bhai smiled

Soon we reached our college and I felt some different nervousness within. This is something I feel in the start of every semester.

"Don't get nervous Divi, it's the same college and same friends.. and the faculty will also be fine", Bhai smiled

"Yeah Bhai, just a little nervous", I smiled sheepishly

"It's ok Bhai, I'm there na", Anu assured

"Yeah, that's why I don't fear for her", Bhai caressed my cheek

"Anyways, all the best to you both", Bhai wished

"Thanks Bhai", we both said at the same time and got down the car

"By the way, did you eat your breakfast?", I asked Anu

"No, where was the time?", She said

"Nevermind come, we still have around fifteen minutes for the class to start.. we can eat something and go back five minutes prior", I suggested

"Yeah better, come", she said dragging me

Our college was a huge campus, not just interior designing but there where many other courses also available. Although we never actually went to the other buildings much I like my college surroundings.

We settled down in our seats and Anu came back with her order.

"Look who's there", I smiled looking behind Anu

She looked behind and turned back quickly glaring at me.

"Shutup Divi, not again", she scolded

"Why so? Afterall he's your crush", I winked

"He was, atleast not after I knew he already has a girlfriend", she rolled her eyes

"It's ok babe, try another", I said

"I want love in my life Divi, hell I'm doing any arranged marriage in future.. but the problem is no one loves me", she winched

"You will get Divi, one must be lucky to get such a beautiful soul in there life", I smiled at her

"Yeah true though", she laughed

"But Divi, on a serious note you shall also get your prince charming soon", she smiled

"I don't know Anu, I rather wouldn't wish for anyone..", I smiled sadly

"I understand, but trust me you will get one soon", she said genuinely

She always cares for me beyond limit, it's been six year we met, we were friends since my ninth standard. I smiled feeling lucky to have her and both went back to our classes not to be late.

Arjun

I stood infront of the mirror setting my hair, it's been around twenty minutes already but I want it to be perfect.

It's the first day of my final year, and ofcourse juniors would join as well.. who knows I may finally get some girlfriend this year atleast.

I don't know why, each time I flirt girls either become too comfortable with me which makes me uncomfortable or they wouldn't even look at me.

But c'mom how can someone even ignore my charms..

Finally satisfied with my look I went downstairs seeing my mom feeding my dad. My parents, Adithi Malhotra and Dev Malhotra.

Only I know how much I adore there bond, it was a love marriage and I have seen there love grow every passing year.. and I always wish to have such a person in my life as well.

"Good Morning son, ar'nt you jealous of us?", Dad asked

"Good Morning dad, but why would I be jealous?", I asked confused

"Coz my wife is feeding me and you don't even have a girlfriend", dad smirked

"Um why would I be? I'm still young you see", I tried to defend

"Yes young by 21 years", dad laughed

Yeah, this is what is happening since I turned 20 that I still doesn't have a girlfriend.

I don't know if I should be happy that I got such cool parents who wouldn't mind there son having a girlfriend or I should feel sad that I don't have one.

"Nevermind, Arjun come and eat", mom called

"Oh wait I haven't observed, you seem to take quite a lot of time to get ready today.. juniors isn't it?", Dad asked guessing it right

"Yeah, see dad very soon your son would introduce you to his girlfriend", I said smirking

"Yeah.. but on a serious note I want you to experience love Arjun, not that you just have a girlfriend and breakup later.. love is something very pure so pick the right one", dad smiled

"Yes dad", I hugged him

"Ok mom, dad I'll leave then.. it's gonna be time", I said picking my bag

"Bye and all the best Arjun", mom hugged me

I smiled and went out sitting on my bike and kick started to my college. I just love bike rides, they give me some sort of peace.

Meanwhile I received a call so stopping to a side and picked up the call and it my long time best buddy Aarav.

"Hey bro where are you?", He asked

"On the way dude, wassup?", I asked

"Then come over, I drank a little last night and although I'm totally fine now mom doesn't want me to drive", he said annoyed

"How much did you drink?", I asked chuckling

"Just two glasses and she feels as if I drank limitless", he's clearly annoyed

"Ok chill I'm on the way, be ready", I said

"Yeah I'm already ready..", he chirped

I laughed and cut the call driving to his house. Soon I reached and went inside and saw his mom trying to feed him.

"Mom I'm ain't a small kid now, I'll eat later", Aarav winched

"Aunty nevermind, he's eager to get hold of some beautiful juniors today and hence have to be before time", I winked at him

"Ok I see", she glared at him

"Arre mumma it's a joke", Aarav fake laughed

"I know I know, anyhow having a girlfriend isn't wrong but choose a nice girl..but", she smiled

"But?", Aarav asked

"But no hanky panky", Aunty glared

I laughed at him expression while it was now my turn to receive a glare from him. We hoped into our bikes and drove directly to our college.

We went and since there's still time for our classes we stopped near a place and was eagerly seeing for some new girls.

"Yaar how unlucky we are, our parents don't even mind us having a girlfriend and still we don't have one", Aarav spoke

"Yeah true thing.. why ar'nt we finding a perfect one Yaar", I said

"Hey look at that girl coming, isn't she beautiful?", Aarav asked excited

"Lol can't you see the guy next to her? He seem to be her boyfriend", I laughed hard

"Ok enough enough, it isn't that funny also", he glared at me

"Ok chill dude, always on glaring mode", I laughed again

"Arjun did you ever feel that one day you shall die in my hands?", He asked calmly

"I know, coz you won't let any other kill me is it?", I smiled sheepishly

"And you won't change is it?", He asked

"Obviously, if I change I wouldn't be your annoying friend Arjun anymore", I side hugged him

"Do you wanna attend the class now?", Aarav asked

"Yes, first day atleast let's attend.. we have to know about our faculty", I said

"Yeah true though, fine come.. it's almost time now", he said

I nodded and we both headed towards our class. As usual being it the first day of the new academic year it was more of introduction as some of them were new professors although a few were old to us.

And only I know how boring it felt to sit for two continuous hours doing nothing, finally the bell rang and it was break so immediately after our professor left I stood up to leave along with Aarav.

We went to the canteen but saw it was completely full as if there's some show going on.

"Not happening here, let's go to the other building's canteen", Aarav suggested

"Yeah let's go to our behind building", I said walking

I sighed in relief seeing this canteen quite free and sitting to aside I went to bring something for us to eat.

I stood to the corner of the wall and taking my tray I turned around and was startled to see a girl standing so close to me and loosing balance I bumped into her making her hit the wall aside and I partially was locking her.

I put the tray aside to balance myself, and that's when I looked up at her face..

She's Beautiful..!!
