As I went to church one Sunday, I noticed a woman and her friend doing evangelism outside. I was impressed by their dedication and noticed that they were still there after several hours. As I left church and returned home, I saw them still sharing the word of God.
I was struck by how determined they were, despite their physical appearance. The woman was deformed, with large eyes that might make her appear different from others. Yet, she didn't seem to care about her looks, and her focus remained on sharing the word of God with others.
My brother's words struck a chord with me. He said, "What if she knows that this is who she is, and nothing can change that? What if at this stage of her life, she just wants to embrace God, her creator, and tell people about him?"
His words left me thinking. Sometimes, life can be difficult, and we may feel like we don't fit in. But maybe we're meant to embrace who we are, and realize that God loves us just as we are. We don't need to change to be accepted by others.
All we need is to accept ourselves and find our purpose. Maybe our purpose is to share our story, like this woman, and show others that they are not alone. That they are loved and have a place in this world.
I realized that what matters is not our looks, but the impact we make on others. This story has stayed with me, and I hope it reminds others that they are enough, just as they are. They don't need to change to be loved and accepted.
