"Alright, Jessica," Emma said with a grateful smile on her tired face as sincerity and relief laced her tired voice.
"Thanks for your continued acts of kindness; I am indeed so grateful to have met you, Jessica, at such a troubled time," Emma said.
Jessica smiled and crinkled her eyes in genuine concern. "It's nothing, Emma; consider it support during your trying times," she dismissed.
Jessica nodded softly and left Emma to her thoughts and concerns. As she went down the stairs, her heels fell softly against the steps, her gait measured to convey her demeanor.
