Jessica searched every nook and corner of Robert's room, but nothing came out of her exhaustive search, even though her instincts screamed that the documents were somewhere close. Continuous glimpses were being thrown back at the brown cupboard, its many compartments inviting her like a treasure would.
"The document has to be in the cupboard," Jessica whispered and kept staring at the intricately carved piece of furniture.
She reached the cabinet and ran her hands over the smooth surface. The first drawer revealed Robert's cosmetics: lotion, hair cream, and fragrances all lay neatly. Jessica lost interest and proceeded to the next drawer.
The second one glittered with Robert's jewels: watches, bracelets, and cufflinks. These indeed were treasures, but not what Jessica was looking for.
