"Let me go get the footage from the CCTV cameras and replay it for everyone to see," Robert said, solid and unyielding in his voice, wanting to get to the bottom of what had been going on.
"Everybody, please, to the living room and wait for me," he commanded; his tone of voice admitted no disobedience or curiosity-driven explorations that could compromise such an investigation.
Everybody filed out of Robert's room and into the hall, their footsteps resounding through the hall down to the living room, where they would await Robert's descent with bated breath.
