“I knew the police would ask for such so I came along with them.” Mr Jude said.
He then reached into the black briefcase that Emma had failed to notice and produced documents, which she assumed were his phone records, as well as a thumb drive that might contain his CCTV footage, and handed them over to Officer Aiden.
Officer Aiden collected them and went through them. He suddenly barked out a laugh, the sudden action surprised not just Emma but everyone present. She watched as he threw the documents down on the table.
“Did you think you could falsify documents and present them to the police?” Officer Aiden asked, face full of amusement.
“Falsify? Officer, do you understand how grave your accusation is?” Mr Jude asked annoyed.
“Must I remind you of where you are Mr Jude?”
