Congratulations to Class of 2015! was announced in a stadium filled with people. Graduation caps were thrown in the air like glitter as Jeremiah was cheering with his class in excitement for the future ahead or that they're done with high school. A smile came across Denise face as she watched her son while standing beside her husband David. Life has been pretty great for Denise being married to her husband for over ten years living well and her only son just now graduating Highschool is going to state to play football When the graduation caps fell down on the grown the crowd started to disperse Jeremiah walked through past the crowd right up to his parents with the biggest smile on his face. "Aww look at my baby, " Denise cooed pulling him close and wrapping her arms around him was squirming in her arms. Even though he would be leaving tomorrow she still saw him as her baby boy. "Mom... Jeremiah whined as some of his classmates were walking past them laughing. "Let him go D you got to let him grow up." David reminded her. Denise pouted her lip. "But he's my baby," she said "Don't worry mom I'll be fine Jeremiah said slowly breaking out of her arms. Jeremiah shifted his eyes at his parents. "Hey, there's this after party can I go?" he asked. "Yes that's fine, " David told him. "Can I stay out past curfew?" Denise nodded. "Yes, that's fine just be home in time remember you have training camp tomorrow." "Ok, mom I'll he said as he walked off with two guys from his class. "So what do you want to do since we'll have the house to ourselves." Denise asked David as they were pulling up to their house. David was silent as she turned off the car. Lately, David has been acting differently he isn't as talkative, he's just been acting very distant the last couple months. "'Let's go inside," he suggested avoiding her gaze and getting out of the car Denise sat back for a moment until she seen David walk up to the front not even stopping be her side of the car. She sighed as she opened the door what did she expect David doesn't open her door anymore getting out she made her way to the front door going inside the house. David was sitting at the kitchen table. "Come sit down," he told her. "What's been going on with you Denise questioned as she walked into the kitchen "We need to talk," he his eyes meet hers The look in his eyes made her nervous as she looked away "About what?" she said as she carefully sat down across from him Looking down at the table there were papers in front of David he slid them to her she picked them up her stomach dropped they were divorce papers. Her eyes filled with tears. "Why...." was all she could say. "Denise it's not you, I just feel like our marriage has reached its end he explained He reached slid his hand across to her's but she pulled her hand back. Deise was in a state of shock as she sat there saying nothing David stood up made he way to her "I'm going to go now I'll stop by tomorrow to pick up the papers." Deise kept her eyes straight ahead as David walked off once his back was turned she watched him as he walked out of the house and the life they built. She broke down crying at the kitchen table.
