I could hear the bodies slamming, hard, rhythmic.
Then came her voice, the strange girl I’d seen earlier. But it didn’t sound like pleasure. It sounded like pain.
I froze, fists tightening. My heart raced so fast I thought it might tear through my chest.
What the hell was going on in that throne room?
I stopped walking when I heard Damien’s howl. Loud. Wild. Echoing through the air like a warning.
The entire pack… the entire damn world around me felt off. Heavy. Like a storm was coming.
