"SOMAKO - THE LOST CITY"

The battlefield lay quiet and was dust and dirt, for it was now a graveyard of the unburied, all baked under an unrelenting sun. Their corpses lay among the buttercups and forget-me-nots. The sun still shone and the wind still blew, to the soldiers it felt more like a gladiator’s arena, albeit without the cheering bloodthirsty crowd, but somewhere mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters waited in vain. These men and women were once boys and girls who played in the yard with sticks and laughed at each other’s silly tales were now meat for the birds. Their eyes were as immobile as their limbs. Their souls had long departed to the celestial planes to walk with the ancestors. The battle was lost, Ovi had won. Now she was planning on attacking the next target.

“Well done boys,” Ovi said as she was addressing her army. “It is a great start guys, but the job is not fully done yet and we have to quickly move to the next target. But tonight is a party night, you all deserve that. So we will meet at the party tonight, come well dressed up, till then bye.”

Midnight, Seoul, South Korea

Helen had another very busy and exhausting day at work today. She had done two surgeries in her day and a lot of patients had visited her, but finally, she reached home. She opened the door and went to relax on her couch.

“Reve can you please bring me something to drink, I need my mind to go in relax mode,” Helen asked

“There you go, ma’am.” Someone from behind said, holding classic margarita with simple syrup in his hands

It was not Reve’s voice, but not an unrecognized one too. Helen turns back and found out that it was Sam standing behind her. She cannot believe her eyes and had a huge smile on her face. She just stands up and walked up to him slowly and pulled him closer to her, wrapping her arms around him. His embrace was warm, and his big, strong arms seemed very protective when wrapped around her tired body. The world around her melted away as she squeezed him back, not wanting the moment to end, it felt as if when she was in his arms all her pain went away, mental and physical. If I could only stay in his arms forever, safe from the world’s tensions. One could only hope.

“You brought Reve here,” Sam asked

“Ya, as you were gone on a holiday and he was alone and I needed someone who can make me good drinks as I come home. So yes I called him home.” Helen replied. “But wait where were you for so long and how did your trip to get some answers gone?”

“It was amazing and filled with lots of adventures, fun and excitement. At first, I could not control my energy and didn’t know much about my powers, but as I learned to control those powers, it became great I was running through the universe faster than stars and light. Do you know there are so many parallel universe and planet? It was so amazing to go there and spend some time, but I really missed you.” He stopped to draw a deep breath and then went ranting on. It seemed he had wanted to tell this for years.

“It sounds you had one hell of a trip. Didn’t you?” Helen said.

“It was going amazing and I was having so much fun, but then,” he took a pause and then said. “But then I came across something huge, something so powerful that even I couldn’t pass through that. At first I thought that it was a wormhole and I can go right through it, but it was not. It was some kind of a gate in a form of a black sphere and I tried to break that so I took a long run up and ran with lot of force of the energy behind me and hit the black sphere.”

“So what happened?” Helen asked curiously

“Explosion!” He said. “As I hit the sphere with all my energy an explosion took place and it through me a long distance back. I was unconscious for 3 days and when I woke up I found myself on Jupiter.”

Helen looked worried and she didn’t have any clue about what to say next.

“So what now?” She asked

“I think that sphere was a prison and someone was trapped inside. I have been doing some research about that and I found a museum named Centre of Crystals in Shanghai where we can find out some answers. So pack your bag as we are leaving for Shanghai now.” Sam said

“You already booked the tickets.”

“You don’t need tickets, you only need to hold me and I will take you to every corner of the universe.”

Helen holds him tightly and closed her eyes and then they both disappeared in thin air.

In The Jungles of Africa

Deep inside the jungles of Africa, there was a cave covered by a big rock and the rock was so big that no one can shake it from its place and enter the cave. Eva was standing right next to the cave wanting to go inside and may be wondering how to go in.

“I am Eva, the queen of Queen’s Alliance order you to open the gates for me, as I wish to enter the cave.” Eva shouted loudly, but there was no one to listen to what she has to say. She patiently waited there, all quiet.

After some time the rock finally started moving and was removed from outside the cave. A man wearing an armour and holding a shield in one hand and a spear in other came out of the cave. He had tousled dark brown hair, which was thick and lustrous. His eyes were a mesmerizing deep ocean blue colour. His face was strong and defined. He had dark eyebrows, which sloped downwards in a serious expression. His strong hands and body looked perfect for a warrior.

“Why are you here?” He asked.

“I am here to die in your arms,” Eva replied

“Bless my soul,” Whispered the warrior, “Eva, the queen of Queen’s Alliance wants to die in my arms. Oh mighty god what did I do to owe this honour.”

They both had a smile on their faces as he said that. Then they both hugged and kissed each other.

“You will never change Blake,” Eva said.

Blake was the commander in charge of the army of Somako which was protecting the city gates. He was the first line of defense for the Somako the lost city of Africa. They both went inside the cave holding a burning torch in their hands.

“So what brings you to the jungle of Africa, far away from Florida?” Blake asked

“I am here to meet your king. I need something from him.”

“But I thought you came all the way here to meet me.” He said in a sarcastic way.

They reached the end of the cave and they are immediately met by a charming city. The light of a giant moon illuminates this city and bathes the lush landscape in a blueish light. The city of Somako was built at the edge of a lush jungle and is truly a natural beauty. Its elegance is matched by the backdrop of mighty mountains which have helped shape the city what it is today. The climate these mountains brought were of great importance, but they were also influential when it came to architectural designs as the vast majority of buildings have been built in the shape of those same mountains. The skyline with luxurious skyscrapers and they each represent the many different aspects of the city. Science and development are flourishing in Somako and it has attracted a lot of attention. Various cultures have left their mark not just on the city’s people, but also upon the city’s identity. What historically was a city of predictability has grown into a fusion of everything and it’s this that unites a million people to this day. Eva and Blake reached the castle. The fortress of Somako is a fine castle, built with a panorama of the surrounding land. Above the towers stood watchers, quiver and arrow ready to fly. Steadfast walls were built for defence. Past the iron gates that trapped would be intruders. Lives of servitude were eked, safe from battle. As they went past the iron gates they saw trees surrounded the castle-like great armies defending their citadel. Their armoured trunks reached out in the air protectively. This great expanse of green enhanced the castles eeriness and beauty as its portcullis made out of hard iron guarded the passage. The circle towers had a spiralling staircase, which shows the way to the great hall. The staircase made it awkward for invaders to fight upwards. The steps were also uneven so the defenders had an advantage. Great mighty pride trebuchets stood with legs on towers ready to unleash their hinged fury. The grey stone seemed eerie in the night as it enhanced its beauty with the radiant moon shining down guiding it by its face. The keep drew the attention as turrets take root and grew like trees.

“That is a nice piece of steel you have. Use it smartly just like your father.” Eva said to a little girl who was practising sword fight.

The girl stopped her sword fight and turnaround. She had a warm chestnut colour hair and pastel white skin which made her beautiful pink lips stand out. Her tall frame and slender body were like of a Victoria secret model. Her blue eyes, like the sea, were calm and full of emotions. “I will try to.” She said

“How are you Jonet?” Eva asked in a cheerful voice “You have grown stronger and you look amazing.”

Jonet was the princess of Somako, the only child of the king Khari Leo. “I have a whole kingdom to look after. So I have to grow strong.” She replied, “You are here to see my father, aren’t you.”

“Yes, it had been a long time since I met you guys, so I thought of coming.” Eva said, “let me go to meet your father otherwise he will get angry.”

Eva went inside the castle to meet the king with Blake. Blake and Eva had a great chemistry which they developed at the time when they went on a mission for Queen’s Alliance a few years back. It seems they have a relation which is more than just friends. They finally reached the great hall of council and the King was seated in the centre of the council table with council men seated on both side of him.

“I welcome you, my queen.” King Khari said. He has ruled the kingdom for years now and done a great job as a leader after his father died. He was a powerful yet peaceful leader. “I hope it was a nice journey for you.”

“Thank you, my King.” Eva replied, “It is always an adventure to come here.”

“So why did you came all the way here.”

“I came here to ask you a favour.”

“I know what you are going to ask, but I cannot give that to you.” King Khari said in a harsh voice

“We don’t stand a chance of beating her without your help.” Eva trying to plead. “We need your army and weapons. What you have to understand my king is that we are here to protect our earth and I ask for your help in doing so.”

“I understand that I am responsible for Somako and who live here. So why I should sacrifice one more Somako warrior’s life in someone else’s war.” The tone of King Khari suggests that he is in no mood to help Eva. “Don’t you remember what happened last time when we opened our gates to the world? Somako lost everything, their King, peace and I lost my parents, just because your father asked my father to help him. I am not going to make Somako to feel that pain again.”

“There will be no Somako left if she brings a war upon us. You know that very well.”

“That is enough my lady.” He shouted and the whole hall was silent. “My decision is final and you must be tired, go and have some rest now.”

King Khari was the first one to leave the hall and Eva looked towards Blake in disbelief as he didn’t support her.

Inside the Centre of Crystal, Shanghai

“Woo! That was amazing.” Helen was taking deep breaths as she experienced something which was out of this world. “Why is everything shaking around me?”

“Things are not moving it is your legs.” Sam smiled “It will take time to get adjusted to traveling faster than light.”

Sam started to look around the museum to gather some insight about the black sphere and who is looked inside that cage. While Helen was still recovering from what she just experienced. The Centre of Crystal museum is one of the most ancient museum in the whole world which showcase some of the most mysterious objects of the ancient time, from the lamp of Aladdin to the Robin hood bow and arrow, but the most amazing thing is the gem of fire. It is one of the creation gems. Legends tells that there are four creation gems namely the gem of water, gem of air, gem of earth and gem of fire, if someone can get all four of them then he or she can control the power of creation.

“Did you find something?” Helen has finally recovered and ready to help Sam

It was a Sunday evening and the rush was way more than normal days which made it more difficult for them to do their research work. Suddenly they heard something; a low grunting, and the shuffling footfalls of gigantic feet. Something huge was entering the museum. They shank into the shadows and watched as it emerged into a patch of moonlight.

It was a horrible sight. 8 feet tall, his teeth, eerily incandescent, emitted a strange blue glow and were as sharp as a fine diamond sword. His skin was mostly scar tissue and he shivered in the early fall breeze. He was not a normal being he was a monster, who repeatedly shouted one thing.

“Where is the Creation gem?” Monster said in a terrifying veracious sound that echoed throughout the museum.

Suddenly there was a chaos and uproar. Everyone was screaming, searching for their family members and a place to hide. Guards tried to stop the monster and started firing bullets, but they were having no effect on the monster. Every step he took created vibrations and the whole museum starts to shake a bit. Sam after having those powers could not sit back and watch this monster create fear so he decided to give him some fight.

“Hey, buddy!” He shouted “Let’s play a game of Tom and Jerry. I will play Jerry and you play Tom. If you catch me then you can take the gem. So are you ready”

The monster roared again in anger and started to run towards Sam

“I will take that as a yes.” Sam said

Sam was just teasing him which made the monster angry and to run more faster, but Sam was changing places on a blink of the eye, hoping that this technique will make the monster tired and then he will use that moment to hit him with the knockout punch. Everything was going according to plan monster face has turned pink and was breathing heavily.

“This is it.” Sam knew this the best shoot that he will get and wanted to make most of it. So he channelized all his energy right behind his punch and went ahead. As Sam was about to hit, the monster caught Sam fist with his left hand.

“Oh ooh.” Sam Knew that he is in danger now.

The monster started to land punches after punches on Sam. He literally beat the s**t out of his face. The last punch was so forceful that it throws Sam right below the Creation gem, but Sam quickly stands up and took the gem, went right to Helen, hold her hand and disappeared in thin air.
