"A BLACK SPHERE"

Sam is lying like a doll over the floor, limbs at awkward angles and heads held in such a way that he can't be sleeping. His lips were pale blue, and mouth was wide open, prepare to let loose the words that he never got to say. He seemed frozen not by the snow, but by time. He was forever captured in his last moment, with no way to escape. “Hey guess, I am home, did you feel that earthquake Reve, it was more dangerous than the last one,” Helen entered the room, “where is Sam, he said he had a surprise planned for me.” “Oh, he is lying dead inside,” Reve said without any grieve or emotion. “What!” Helen shouted and quickly ran inside The smile and excitement for the surprise that was there on the face of Helen had just disappeared after looking at Sam. Not in her wildest dreams, Helen would have thought that she will get such a surprise. She quickly rushed towards the body. Helen being a surgeon herself quickly started the medical process and checked the pulse and heartbeat, but both had stopped minutes ago. She tried to give him CPR, but his heart was not reacting to that. “We need to give him a shock," said Helen loudly. “You could use that compass near you. It contains electric current in it, I guess." Reve answered Helen feels the current in the universal compass as she touched that, but she quickly picked that up kept over Sam's heart and pressed, all in one motion, but the heart didn't respond. “Come-on, Sam…” She pressed one more time, but all in vain. “We need to take him to the hospital,” Helen muttered She quickly went outside to get her mobile phone and call the ambulance. Reve looked worried too, but not for Sam, he was worried about how much work he has to do to clean up this mess and how little time he has for all this. After calling the ambulance Helen quickly rushed back to the room, as she enters the room, she saw something that made her heart stop, and eyes were wide open which was followed by a high, petrified scream and then she fainted. Reve pour some water on Helen's face, which brought her to some consciousness “You were lying dead a moment ago, and now standing straight. Oh god, what is going……” and she faints again, but this time in Sam’s arm Sam was standing there all quiet and confused too, looking at Helen’s face, who was innocently lying in his hands. He could not recollect what had happened to him. He glanced at his reflection in the mirror and then looked at his changed body. “I was experiencing lots of pain when I got struck by that energy, then I was just relieved of all pain, it felt peaceful and amazing,” Sam said, with a mixture of confusion and doubt on his face. “I met my parents and Sophie, my childhood friend who died of cancer a few years back. They were giving me a tour of heaven. I was about to meet God and entered his chamber, but the next thing I remember is that I woke up on earth.” Sam didn’t notice that Helen has regained her consciousness as he was sharing his experience and she even heard everything that Sam has just said. She wasn’t fainting anymore and holding her ground extremely well. After looking Sam alive, Helen scrambled to her feet, so happy she felt as though a large balloon was swelling inside her. She went towards him and hugged him tightly. Sam had been hugged before, but never like this. There was something so warm, something that felt right, smelt right. “In your arms, I feel so great, the warmth, the love. I thought I will never have that feeling again, ” said Helen, she didn’t want to leave his body. Sam had no expression what so ever, on his face. He was standing as if Helen had hugged him for the first time and he couldn’t understand how to react. Helen had just noticed something that made her feel as though the happy balloon inside her had got a puncture. “I cannot feel your heartbeat.” Helen looked dumbfounded She tried again, but nothing. She even tried to find his pulse, but all in vain. “I don't feel like breathing. Actually, I think I don't need to breathe anymore,” said Sam quietly. “What!” Helen shouted in disbelief “you don’t need to breathe, what are you a ghost now? " “I don’t know, but I am not that Sam anymore, which you knew.” Sam was explaining. “So how are you surviving if you are not breathing?” cried Helen “Entanglement energy I guess,” said Sam silkily “When I got struck by that energy some part of that, might have left in my body and when you tried to give CPR to me with that universal compass it got connected to my heart.” Sam is not the normal human being anymore. His body shade had turned a bit violet. He was not breathing and no blood was pumping through his veins only his mind was functioning, which got connected to the universal compass through entanglement energy and that same energy was flowing throughout his body. “We need to take you to the hospital. Dr Kim will do some treatment and you will be fine then.” Helen said her voice shaking. “Why the ambulance hasn’t come yet, I called them hours ago?” “Ambulance did come, and it is gone now,” said Sam quietly “What, but why?” Helen shouted, “Ok, let it go, we will book a taxi, just come with me.” She is in no mood for listening to whatever Sam wanted to say. “No treatment can cure me now Helen,” said Sam, trying to explain her. “I am dead already. It is just my mind is functioning, just like Reve’s.” “What are you suggesting then?” asked Helen “You need to accept this and let me go. Maybe this is what God has decided for me.” Sam urged. “I will go and explore my abilities” “It is okay, I understand that you have to go,” said Helen “How do you know?” “I am connected to you too,” said Helen, with an innocent smile. “Where will you go?” “Don’t know yet. Maybe on an adventure of the universe” INSIDE THE HEADQUARTER “Happy Birthday Rohini,” said Amber sleepily as Rohini scrambled out of bed and pulled on her bathrobe. “Thank you,” said Rohini. “Will you look at this? I have got some presents!” “What did you expect, turnips?” said Amber, taking out her own gift which was a small packet wrapped inside a red paper and a bow on it. “Go on, open my gift first.” Rohini took the gift and unwrapped, the box contained handmade candies and Chocolate bars. “Oh, thank you, that is so nice of you,” said Rohini, trying the candy, which was very tasty. Then Rohini picked up the top parcel. It was wrapped in a pink paper and scrawled across it was To Rohini, from Mom. Inside was a beautiful rumba red colour, C. Wonder Ponte knit dress, with a diamond colour jewelled neckline which adds a splash of sparkle to the solid design, while a keyhole button detail and crew neckline make it easy to slip on. “Thanks, Mom,” Rohini muttered. “She thinks that I am completing my graduation from Florida, at least this is what Eva made her think.” Her next present contained pictures of her with her grandpa - The best memories of your life, with love from Eva. There is left only one gift now. Rohini picked it up and felt it. It was very light. She unwrapped it. Something like a lighter was inside the box “I have heard of those,” Amber said in a hushed voice, dropping the box of candy she made for Rohini. “If that’s what I think it is -- they are really rare and really valuable.” “What is it?” “It is a direction mentor,” said Amber, a look of awe on her face. “I am sure it is - turn it on.” Rohini picked the direction mentor and clicked on the side. A flame came out of it and went in the direction of the bathroom. “It is! See, the flame tells you where you need to go. You should go to the bathroom and get ready for the day, this is what it tries to say, I guess.” Amber was amazed too. “There is a note!” said Amber suddenly. “A note fell out of the box!” Rohini seized the letter. Written in narrow, loopy writing she had never seen before were the following words: Your grandpa left this in my possession before he died. It is time it was returned to you. Use this if you are ever lost for directions. Use it well. Wishing you a very happy birthday Rohini. There was no signature. Rohini stared at the note. Amber was admiring the lighter. “I would give anything for one of these,” she said. “Anything. What’s the matter?” “Nothing,” said Rohini. She felt very strange. Who had sent the lighter? Had it really once belonged to his father? Before she could say or think anything else, the room door was flung open and Eva came in. “Happy Birthday!” “Hey, look you have already opened your gifts. Did you like mine?” “It was amazing Eva, really heart touching gift.” Rohini smiled. “Now quickly get ready because you are going to come to the meeting with me today.” Rohini wanted to talk about the direction mentor, but she could not as Eva was in rush, so decided to talk later and went to get ready for the meeting. Somewhere in the universe The accident has flipped the life of Sam upside down. A lot has changed inside him, his desires, emotions, love for Helen are not the same as they used to be earlier. He has only been running for the past one month, trying to know himself and his new abilities better, but for him, this one month is like a decade in the universe. He is travelling time and getting extremely good at doing so. With the help of the universal compass and entanglement energy, he is able to run faster than the speed of light and getting to know the positions of the different wormhole as he travels more and more. He is challenging his abilities every passing minute, trying to increase the level of usage of the energy. Opening wormhole one after the another and travelling different universe and time frames, but his abilities have not fully grown, he can travel the past or future to a certain point, not beyond that as his body could not contain the energy which is produced to do so, his body will burn if he try that. After travelling so much Sam came across something that made him stop his journey. He has taken such a pause after a very long time. He his standing there, all quiet evaluating the surrounding or maybe admiring the scene in front of him. It seems to be a huge gate, maybe the biggest in all of them, but all dark. Sam thinks that it is a black hole as it just looks like a black sphere, but it is not pulling him in as all black holes do. A normal person would not even think of going near nearby such an object, but Sam being a physicist and with such kind of superpowers wanted to go inside. He tries to go nearby the sphere, there was some kind of energy that stopped him from doing so. He was thrown back to the starting point as he tried to push his way inside the sphere. He tried again and again and again and maybe lost his count. His energy level was increasing as he was trying more and more to break inside. This time he was more determined then never before. His run-up has maybe crossed the infinity point. Sam is loaded with energy. His head was down and ready on his guard. There he goes, runs towards the sphere. He runs more quickly. It looks like a lightning bolt was flying through space. His body started to burn, but he didn’t care. Leaning forward on his back, he broke into a heavy run the sphere was coming nearer and nearer. He was going to smash right into that sphere. The speed is such that he wouldn’t be able to stop -- his body is out of control -- he was a foot away - he closed his eyes ready for the crash and…. Bang a huge explosion took place in the universe.
