TALE OF AN OUTRAGED CHILD

All the once green lands of the earth were no more than ash and charcoal. The air was heavy with the smell of burnt flesh of warriors. The cities stood like skeletons, baren wastelands, even the oceans stood like semi-stagnant pools of death and decay, there were no waves as even the wind had left the earth. Dragon warrior was lying died, kings guards were dead, even the dragon could not survive such horror. The apocalypse came, but not as predicted in fire and brimstone. The skies were barren, no birds flew or sang, and only dark creatures like hell hound could only be seen walking on the earth.

“Wake up Eva, wake up.” Rohini kept on saying, but without any answers.

Eva woke up suddenly; her body was sweating and shivering too.

Her heart was racing and her breath came quickly. Her eyes were red, not because of sleep they were full of fear, fear of losing her loved ones.

“What happened to you, why were you shouting in your sleep, did you had any nightmare?” Rohini asked in a tense voice.

“We need to go, we need to go now…” Eva kept on saying.

“Ok relax, drink some water and tell me what is going on with you.” Rohini was trying to calm her.

“I am having these bad dreams for some days now. These nightmares are getting darker. I am having these visions of apocalypse, but today I saw the mother of destruction in my dream. She brought this dooms day on us.” Lots of questions started to rise in Rohini's curious mind.

“Mother of destruction, who is she?” Rohini gets anxious

“Ovi the mother of destruction, did you not hear that tale of the outraged child”

“No, I have not heard any such story,” Rohini said

Eva took out a book from her bag and started reading.

“There was once a charming man traveling alone a lonely road at twilight, he looked sad, lonely or may be lost. In time the man reached a small, quiet and beautiful river before he could cross he saw a girl who wore an eye-catching white dress, and her silky loose hair and milky shiny skin seem like an angel had just come on earth to enjoy this full moon twilight, she was beautiful. The man was mesmerized by her beautiful black eyes and fell in love at first sight. The girl looked at him, she has never seen a man with such traits, his muscles rippled across every part of his body. He was obviously a seasoned warrior. She knew without a doubt, that they were made for each other. The man was so deep in love with her and spending such a romantic time that he forgets his duties and his past life. They also had a cute little girl named Nueavida. Nueavida was very strong herself, she loves to play sports which warriors play, and was kind and beautiful too. As she was growing up, she was becoming stronger. As if she was some kind of a god, villagers started to worship her and made her queen. Everything was going well, but suddenly one day the sky became dark and low with ominous black clouds and the wind picked up, it was some kind of a warning as if the gods were angry of something, soon the lightning strike the village, waiting to flood through any crack no matter how small, and came the lady from the sky. Her name was Ovi, she was the daughter of Sir Arthur the protector of earth, the same Sir Arthur who came on earth a few years back with a mission but fell in love with a beautiful girl and had a small child name Nueavida. Ovi was the daughter of Sir Arthur and his first wife in heaven. She was the elder sister of Nueavida. Sir Arthur left the heaven when Ovi was small and never returned to heaven. Ovi never got father’s love and was jealous of her younger sister Nueavida. She wanted to take revenge and destroy the whole planet and the mankind which her younger sister loves. Ovi attacked the earth with her strong and undefeated legions of black warriors. The kind of destruction that she brought on earth was unimaginable and was named the mother of destruction. Nueavida could not see mankind getting destroyed like this, so she prayed to the gods and the protector of four elements earth, air, fire, water, to help her stop her sister from destroying mankind. The protectors provided Nueavida with an invincible sword. She formed an alliance of mankind with elves, werewolves and all kind of ancient warriors on earth. Nueavida fought furiously against her sister and succeeded in stopping her sister. God made a parallel universe to lock Ovi and her black warriors inside, and from that day till today she is imprisoned in that universe.”

Rohini had lots of questions in her mind, but could not understand where to start.

“If Ovi is locked in the parallel universe then how could she bring the doomsday on us.” Rohini finally asked something.

“I do not know, but I am having this bad intuition, that is why we need to go and check.” Eva didn't have the answers.

“You should sleep now, we will go early morning.” Rohini trying to calm Eva.

10:00 P.M, Seoul, South Korea

“I am completely and ridiculously screwed Reve.” Sam Yong said in a gloomy voice.

“Come on now Sam, every cloud has a silver lining.” Reve trying to give some pep talk.

“Oh” Sam nods, “hmm, guess I am gonna die of old age without completing my research,” Sam said.

“But we all gonna die, even android end up as scrap, take a break from worrying about what you can't control, live a little,” Reve replied.

“Live a little. Hey, Reve can you keep a secret?” Sam asked.

“Yeah sure, I am not only a valet, I am a gentleman too,” Reve replied in a sarcastic tone.

“I will propose Helen tomorrow, she is going to fill the emptiness in my life.” Sam started to daydream.

“Do you know there are 95% chances that she will decline your proposal?” Reve checking his numbers.

“The first thing I will do with my machine is travel to past and stop myself from making such a dumb android like you.” Sam went back to work on his machine.

In 1915, the great physicist Albert Einstein wrote a research paper on the theory of relativity, which has been doing the work of a bible for the physicist trying to travel through time. Sam Yong is one such physicist who is doing a research on time travel for the Seoul National University. His laboratory was quiet as cold as a morgue. Even his great machines lay silent for some time now, but after failing 619 times today again he is going to try and activate his electromagnetic field by using the negative energy formed by nuclear and hydro energy which might succeed in opening and holding the walls open to prevent the wormhole from collapsing.

“Electromagnetic field is ready to generate Reve, I am gonna star the engine now.” Sam pulls the trigger.

The radioactive generator started to sound very loud and everything started to vibrate, things like stationary and glasses started falling down due to the vibration, even Reve couldn't hold his ground.

A beam of nuclear and hydro energy was thrown in the direction of the generator and as it hit the generator electromagnetic field is created.

“Eureka, it is working, the generator is working, I can see the wormhole…” Sam didn’t have the words to express his filling.

He succeeded in making a magic doorway the wormhole, connecting two remote location in-universe. These cosmic sky bridges will bring the biggest evolution in the mankind and will allow him to jump across space and travel in time.

“I can see something on the other side of the wormhole. It seems like a parallel universe or another time frame. I need to go inside.” Sam went inside wearing an oxygen mask. “It is a different planet than ours, but there is water on this planet and maybe it supports life too. Ohoooo this is just amazing”

“Warning! temperature critical. Temperature level rising” Generator has started to break down.

“Reve is everything ok there.” Sam lost connection to the monitor.

“Warning….. generator will shut down in 5 4 3 2”

The Wormhole is closed now and Sam has stuck on the other side.

“Oh, he is gone, should I cook food or not now?” Reve wonders.
