As usual, I woke up early, but this morning I took my time getting out of bed. A warm, soft body was laid across my chest as I woke up today. One leg of our partner was folded over mine and wedged in between our knees as he lay over us. My tummy was covered by one arm, but Jonathan's chest was where our mate's cheek was resting. We had everything we had ever desired in our arms, and we didn't want the moment to stop.
I therefore lay there, my arm across her body, running my fingers through her hair as I listened to her breathe. And I came to the conclusion that this is the happiest I have ever been. Jonathan was still dozing off, and his expression was serene. He was always frowning, and I have seen him laugh many times now.
