There are many reasons why I like to go to the public library in Getty Square. It’s close to home, annoying people don’t go there, and as of lately, its air-conditioned rooms are an escape from the heat. The biggest and best reason of all, it’s not Slowbomb.
The library is huge, with three floors: the main floor where the entrance is, the lower level where the kids’ room is, and the upstairs where I never go. I think it’s for people to do research. I’ve never seen this place crowded, which is a plus. I brought Kenny here with me once (it was his turn to tag along that day), and he acted like he was in the presence of kryptonite. He got up and told me he’d be right back, and then I didn’t see him the rest of the day.
