Ally I see her out the corner of my eye. She slides over to the food table and grabs a celery stick. The green vegetable contrasts nicely with her black nail polish as she nibbles on it. She’s Melissa’s older sister Ally. She’s wearing a long shirt and stretch pants. Her hair, nail polish, and clothes are all the same shade of black. At first I don’t pay her much attention, but then she sits next to me and whispers, “You look like Stephen, my ex.” In her mind, I assume, that’s a good thing. She smiles and searches my body with her eyes. She’s looking at me the way I would look at Tamera. That makes me laugh a little bit.
