Chapter 5
Olivers POV
I wanted to really let everything she told me sink in. The warriors told me they saw it, and she told me no one was there, so someone is lying to me. What if she did try to save him and she really is innocent, but what if she was really the one to kill him. Her wolf is strong enough to kill an alpha. Something was telling me she was telling the truth. I decided that I'll think about it for today and sleep on it before I make a decision.
It's lunchtime, and I go down to the dining hall. My mother notices something is off.
"Oliver honey, is everything ok?" You seem out of it." she asked, worried.
"Yea, mom, I'm fine. I'm just thinking about something." I respond.
"Did you want to talk about it?" she asked.
"No, I'm fine. It's something I have to figure out myself." I said
I block everything else out while I keep thinking about what Kristen told me. She is different. She used to be so outgoing and full of life and carefree, but not anymore she just locks herself in her room and only talks to her family. I understand why, but still, it's ashame to see her like this.
I shake my head, no, I must not put past friendships into my decision. I will either put all feelings aside or all together on my decision. She will or will not pay for what she has or hasn't done. Man, a 50/50 decision is hard, especially when there are no witnesses or anything. I guess I'll sleep on it and figure it out tomorrow.
I walk up to Kristen room and knock. I hear some shuffling around, and then she opens the door.
"Alpha Oli...." She started to say.
I hold my hand up. "Please, just Oliver. You know what I think of titles." I told her and smiled slightly.
She nods and smiles a little back. "No formalities for now. It's just us." I said, looking at her.
"Um, ok then, what's up?" She responded, looking kinda confused.
"Can I come in?" I asked
She reposnded in surprise "Oh um sure, yeah, of course, come on in."
I look around, and it hasn't changed much, except there are no chairs in here now.
I point to where the chairs were and ask, "Where did your chairs go?"
She looks down, then back up at me and says, "Well ever since, uh, you know well um everyone hates me, so I took the chairs out cause I no one comes up here to hang out anymore."
"Oh." was all I could say. There was a pause of silence. I clear my throat and continue. "So about that night that my um father died, is there anything even little you can tell me?" I gesture to her bed.
She nods and scoots to make room, and I sit on her bed. She looks thoughtful for a moment.
She shakes her head and responds "No I can't think of anything right now."
I nod as I stand up. "Ok, well, come to my office at noon tomorrow."
She grabs my arm, and I turn and look at her. Her eyes have tears in them. I walk towards her and wipe her tears away.
"Hey, what's going on?" I asked concerned.
"Don't leave yet, please."

Kristen's POV
"Don't leave yet, please." I asked, holding tears back.
He nods and sits back down next to me, and I continue.
"You were my best friend. We promised each other that no matter what happens in our lives we would be friends forever. Did that not mean anything to you?" We made that promise when we were around 7 years old. It happened in this very room as well.
----------
Olivers POV
I sigh. I do remember making that promise, and that's a big thing my father did teach me to honor my promises no matter how little or big, but honor your promises, and it will go a long way. I wrap my arms around her into a comforting hug.
"Well, this makes my decision allot easier. You will forever be my friend, and that will never change." She pulls away and looks at me like I have 2 heads.
"Y-you mean it? She asked, getting excited.
"Yes, I do. I replied, smiling at her.
She pulls me into a big hug.
"OMG!" she screams
It makes me jump, and I'm quickly on the defensive. "What is it? What's wrong?"
She looks at me. "I need a least one of my chairs back."
I took a deep breath. " Geez, you scared the s**t out of me!"
She looked at me and started laughing
"Awwww. Did the big bad alpha get scared?" She teased the continued to laugh.
This was nice. Maybe I can convince some of our old friends to come here and keep it on the DL for now til we can all come up with a way to make everyone accept her again. I guess the only way to know was to ask. Well, first, let's see how she feels about it. I asked her if that's something she would want, and of course it is.
Now I just have to be sneaky and ask our old friends. It took allot of convincing on 3 of them and about a month and a half to get everyone that used to hang out with her on board we would mainly hang out in her room since nobody even come to the 3rd floor except her family. She got all her chairs back they were nice they were all solid color, but each one was a different color that just blended with each other and her room.
After 3 months of meeting in her room and no one finding out, we decided that exploring around at night would be a good idea. We started going outside once a week, and then that turned to a few nights a week. After about a total of 5 months everything has gone back to normal with the 8 of us hanging out. One night, we all went outside to let our wolves out for a run.
Once we got to our spot, I asked, "Did everyone bring clothes for when we shift back here?" Everyone said yes. I told everyone when it's the 8 of us, don't call me alpha, I'm just Oliver. They all agreed it was kinda hard at first, but now it's like before I became alpha. Everyone seemed to enjoy being each other's company again.
"Alright, is everyone ready to go." I asked with a lot of energy.
Kristen was the most excited to go. She squealed like a little girl going into a candy shop.
"I haven't let my wolf out since Casey wanted to fight me, and I beat her ass."
I c****d my head to the side. "Why not?"
"Luna Lily ordered me not shift again. She said that as long as she is Luna, I can't shift." she stated, "but here is a loophole techniquly she isn't Luna anymore since Oliver is now Alpha.
I mean, she wasn't wrong. As we were about to shift, a huge strom came in out of nowhere and started raining, and the wind was crazy.
"Well, we can't really run in this, guys. We will have to come back maybe tomorrow night?"
Everyone agreed, and we started walking back.
"We will change in the little room off the dining hall that way, No one will know we were outside." I told everyone.
"I'll wait 5 minutes that way no one will see you guys with me." Kristen said
"Your not staying out in this storm by yourself!" Everyone said in unison.
"If they see us with you, we will come up with something. I stated, "Or we just tell them the truth, and hopefully everyone will accept you again."
As we were about a mile away from the pack house, the wind picked up, and a giant tree branch came flying down towards Kristen.
"Kristen, look out!" Without thinking, I ran using my werewolf speed and pushed Kristen out of the way. I felt my head get hit with the tree branch, and then my world fell dark.
