Chapter 9
Kristen's P.O.V
After sitting in silence for a few minutes, I can see my mom's and dad's eyes grow black with rage. Dylan calmed dad. Sarah and I calmed mom down. They were angry but weren't going to kill Oliver.
"I know it's allot to take in, but there isn't much we can do. He is the alpha, after all." I was the first to speak.
"Ok, if that's what he wants, we will all move out there. We stick together no matter what." My dad spoke up, his voice angry.
"Alright, it's settled then." My mom said, sounding just as angry. "Let's all start packing up our things."
Mom and dad leave us standing, looking at each other.
"That can't be it, can it?" I asked no one in particular.
"Um. I'm not sure I've never seen them act like that." Dylan replied.
"Think we need to worry?"
"No, I think we are good."
"Ok, well then, let's get packing like mom said."
They both leave my room to start packing. I go to my closet and start grabbing suitcases and duffle bags and put them on my bed. I start organizing everything and then we take our first trip to the new house.
It's definitely smaller than what we are used to, but it's really nice on the inside, and we all still get our own rooms. We all claim the rooms we wanted on the 2nd floor, and mom and dad find theirs on the main floor. After that, we start bringing stuff in and put them in their respective places. After everything was unloaded from this trip, we all took a little bit to really look around the house. It was pretty nice, the roof was high, the walls were a soft grey with shiny hardwood floors, and the kitchen had light cabinets with light colored counter tops. The bathrooms were spacious. I'm glad my family came with me. Otherwise, I wouldn't be in a place as nice as this one. It was still far from the packhouse, but closer than the one I was going to go to on my own.
We go back and forth a few more times before we get back the packhouse and call it a day. I'm not sure what everyone has to pack, but me it's just the rest of my bathroom, my bed, my dresser, and a few more pictures. I still can't believe this is happening. I then smell something really good, and it stirs me from my thoughts. I look at the time it 6:30pm that means dinner is cooking to be ready by 7.
I slowly start making my way down the stairs when Oliver calls out to me. I was stunned since he kicked me out and wanted nothing to do with me. I wait as he catches up to me.
"Hello Alpha." I say as I look away from him.
"When you're done moving, I need to come in my office and see me. I have a job that I'm working out the last few details." he said, grabbing my chin a bit rough, making me look at him. He continues, " I expect you in my office at 9 am on 2 more days. Do I make myself clear?" his tone low.
I just nod, but apparently, that wasn't good enough. He let's go of my chin, his eyes growing dark he smacks me across the face hard making me fall to the ground. He takes a step closer, towering over me, I look up at him with unshed tears in my eyes. He repeats his tone, more threatening. "Do I make myself clear."
"Y-yes Alpha Oliver." I say, holding back tears.
He walks away down to the dining room, I turn back to my room and go inside the bathroom and look at my face. That really hurt. Sure enough, there was a perfect handprint on my face. I grab some concealer to hide the handprint it hurt so badly putting it on. I went down and just grabbed my food and went straight back to my room to eat it. I brought the plate back to the kitchen when I was done. I was done with the day, and I need to sleep so I can get up tomorrow and move some more stuff to our new house.
Dallas called to see how everything was. I told them that it was good, and I told them that if I finished moving my stuff tomorrow that I would hang out with them on day 3. They agreed. I know Sarah would want to hang out with us, too, so I told her, and now she is rushing to get all her stuff packed and ready to be moved tomorrow. I already did that except for the few things I need for tonight and tomorrow morning. Get back in my room. I take a shower, then my nightly routine. I lay down in bed, and I call my sister.
"Hey sis, what's up?" Sarah asked when she answered the phone.
"Nothing, I just can't sleep. I want to and I'm tired but I can't." I replied
"Yeah, I get it. I can't, either."
"I'm surprised that you did tell me earlier. I heard that you let Oliver have it." I said a little too excitedly.
"Yeah, I don't know where it came from, but it felt kinda good. He was stunned as well. I left before he could say anything. I was so mad." She matched my excited tone.
"I'm going to try and get sleep that way, we can move our stuff tomorrow. Hopefully, we will get most of our stuff set up."
"Ok, goodnight, love you, sis." She responded with a yawn.
"Goodnight, love you too." With that, I hung up the phone.
I tossed and turned, trying to get some sleep, but it was not coming easily.
I asked my wolf, "Hey Bailey, do you want to go on a run?" I continued. "It's late enough that no one will see us."
She perked up and responded, "Absolutely let's go!"
I opened and closed my door quietly, and I made my way down the steps quickly and quietly. I was about to turn a corner, and I heard Olivers voice. I froze for a moment, then hid. I thought for a moment, and I decided to go out of the side entrance. I quickly and quietly made my way outside. Finally, I shifted into my wolf, the moon making her white fur sparkle her purple eyes peering into the darkness of the forest. I gave her full control and watched as she started running as fast as she could through the forest. she was running so fast everything was a blur. I don't remember her being this fast. I could be wrong since I'm not allowed to shift anymore. I can only sneak out every so often to let my wolf out. I was happy to see her having fun acting like a pup. After about 2 hours of her having fun and stretching her legs, she gave me back control, and I shifted back. I snunk to a secret area where I keep my extra clothes and put them on before sneaking back inside.
I finally got back to my room. Apparently, all I needed was to let my wolf out. I felt comfortable and relaxed, and with that, I lay down in my bed and let sleep consume me.
The next morning, I was being woken up by a knock on my door. The knock grew louder, and I heard my mom voice. "Kristen?"
Not wanting to get up yet, I called out "Yeah mom?"
"We have to start bringing our stuff to the new house."
