Placing food in front of Kacy, Karma sat beside him and watched as he began to eat. Now being married for little over a year, Karma still felt the same love for him as she did before.

Kacy looked up at her and smirked, "Wassup?"

She shook her head and leaned in for a kiss "You're so handsome"

"Thanks mama" Kacy chuckled "What's gotten into you?"

"Don't you mean, what do I want to get into me? "

Laughing, Kacy almost choked on his breakfast "You sure you good baby?"

She nodded again as a smile spread across her lips. Kacy went back to eating as Karmas phone rang. She looked down and saw it was a text from Jose. Her eyes quickly scanned the message just as another text came through from Ash and Kat as a group text.

The plan was for the girls to meet Jose at his house later that week to hear the plan on what they needed to do. Karma agreed and when she looked up, Kacy was watching Ber closely.

"You want ta say something?" He asked her.

"No baby"

"You lying ta me now ?" He looked at her from the corner of his eye "Huh?"

"No K, it was just Kat and Ash. They wanna do something this week but we not sure what to do yet"

Nodding to himself, he took what she said as her word and let the conversation go. He went back to eating just as his phone rang.

"Wassup D"

"Aye man, Jose wants us to come see him tonight" Dion informed "Like 9"

"I ain't get nothing though"

"He called me a lil bit ago. He said he booked for later this week so tonight is his only free time. You down?"

Kacy looked up at Karma who was bust texting on her phone "Yea, slide by my crib to get me"

"Got you"

The call ended and Kacy stood to put his dish in the sink. Karma followed behind him and put her phone on the counter. "You ain't eat nothing mama?"

"No, I wasn't hungry "

"What? Karma, not hungry" Kacy joked "The world must be ending or some s**t"

Karma laughed "Stop it, I'm serious Kacy. Besides, I was eating while cooking"

"Told you bout that nasty s**t"

"I still do it though. Anyway, I was thinking" she paused and pulled Kacy close to her by the bottom of his shirt "Maybe we should go back to that island we went to last year"

"Island? What island you talking about?"

"The one you proposed at"

"I proposed to you?"

Karma flashed her ring "Duh baby" she laughed as Kacy grabbed her hand and examined the ring "Nice huh?"

"Hell yea, I got taste" he looked up at her and smiled, kissing her lips "I'm a lucky ass nigga "

"Yes you are"

"Just for that, we ain't going no damn where"

Karma phone began ringing and she pushed Kacy back "Hey ma, what's going on?"

"Hey Karma, just called to check up on you. How things going?"

"Good mama, what about you? And Kacy said hey"

"Tell him I said hey, and I'm good. I just came back from an appointment at the doctors. He gave me some medicine and said it'll slow down the process of me losing my mind, but hell, I been crazy so I'm not taking them"

Karma laughed a little "Take the medicine ma. It'll help you, doctors orders"

"Same doctors who tried to give me chemotherapy for something that doesn't require it"

"Yea, don't take them. But they seriously tried that?"

"Yea, talking about some, they not sure if it'll work but it won't hurt to try. Baby, I cussed them people out so decent"

"They kicked you out huh?"

"You know they did. Almost made me get Joe on them"

Karma laughed some more as the conversation made a turn in a different direction. It didn't last too long though, simply because their still trying to get close like they used to be.

Eventually, they did get off the phone. When they did, Karamas mind Soon went to her father. Its been awhile since she'd talked to him and she couldn't help but wonder how he was.

But she felt a little resentment towards him and the simple fact that he went and got married without telling her. Sure, they had a disagreement but as close as they were, an argument never lasted long.

Being the stubborn person she was though, Karma fought against the urge to call her father. "Hell, phones work both ways" she mumbled to herself as she made her way to the downstairs bathroom.

Meanwhile, Kacy was upstairs packing and talking lowly to himself. He was trying to come up with an excuse to tell Karma about his sudden flight with the guys.

When she finally made it upstairs, she stopped at the door "Where you going?"

"D wanted to go chill in Vegas for the night" he said, his back still facing her. "I thought he told you"

"No, he didn't. And he isn't suppose to, you are"

"He's you're best friend"

"And you're my husband" she folded her arms "So you're going to leave me by myself?"

"It'll just be for a few hours mama" he walked over to her and leaned in to kiss her temple "That's ok?"

She nodded "Just don't do that again. Were you just going to leave and not tell me nothing?"

"Of course not"

"Ok, well be safe. And call me when you get there" she kissed his lips "I love you papa"
