"Thanks Ed, we'll keep in touch" Dion said. He hung up the phone and turned towards Morgan and Kacy. "Ed got a hit on Wendell. There's this party tonight and he gon be there"
"Its his party?" Kacy asked.
Dion shook his head "His brothers party. Its one of those parties where the woman wear masks and s**t"
"Cool"
It didn't take long for the guys to get dressed. With baby Morgan and Moesha being watched by the house maid, the guys didn't plan on staying long. In fact, they just wanted to go and get a glimpse of Wendell again.
The more they watched his movements, the more they could find out about him without even having a conversation with him.
Walking into the club, they made sure to keep their eyes straight ahead. Dion already spotted Wendell. He was busy talking to a girl at the bar with her friend and another man.
Karma watched as Kacy walked in and had a decision to make. Its business, she's at work right now. So she slowly turned her attention back to Akoni who smiled at her. The girls all had their eyes locked on their men, who had no idea they were there.
"You ok sweetie? Your whole attitude is different now" Wendell said. He placed his hand on her thigh and Ash jumped "My bad, I didn't mean to frighten you"
"Oh, it's fine"
"Do you know them?"
"Huh?"
"Those guys that walked in"
"Yea, I do"
Being the friend of someone so close to Akoni, Wendell knew something wasn't right. Then, something clicked.
"The one with the dreads. You know him as well?"
"No, I don't know him. "
"I'll be back ok? Don't move" Wendell stood up and nodded at the body guard that was talking to Kat.
Kacy, Morgan and Dion watched as Wendell began to make his way towards the exit with a crowd of men with him. All three locked eyes and nodded.
Ash and Kat locked eyes but before they could say anything, Wendell and the guard walked back into the club with machine guns around their chest and fired from one side of the club while Kacy, Morgan and Dion began to fire into the crowd from the other side.
Gun shots rang out in the club. Whoever didn't duck in time was hit and whoever didn't know where the exit was, was hit. Bodies began dropping like flies and screams filled the building.
Stopping their firing, Kacy and the guys looked around and saw how bodies laid across the bar and the ground of the club. "Y'all see Wendell or his crew?" Kacy asked.
Their eyes scanned the club slowly "A few of his guards are down but nah" Dion spoke. They began to walk out the club with Kacy slowly trailing behind. Suddenly, a hand reached up and grabbed on the leg of his pants. Looking down, he was about to kicked the hand away.
His heart dropped to his stomach as he fell to his knees.
Karma laid at his feet, blood spilling from her mouth as she held her stomach. The mask covered part of her face as she coughed on her own blood.
"Karma" Kacy removed the mask and quickly examined her body before scooping her into his arms. Everything was happening so fast, no one could keep up.
Morgan lifted Ash up in his arms and Dion did the same with Kat. They all exited the building and placed the girls in the back of the van they drove in.
The girls laid in the back of the van as Morgan sped through the busy streets. Nobody was moving. Kat was barely breathing. They were all just laying there.
Although he does down to the hospital, things seemed to be moving so slow. Karma wasn't breathing. Ash now wasn't breathing and Kat was holding on the best she could.
Nothing was looking good for them. Dion went to the last resort and called Jose.
"Things ain't good man, the girls might not make it"
