FALLING FOR MY HYBRID

204 Words
Growing up as a wolf girl in the quiet but troubled city of Chicago, I always believed hybrids were monsters. That’s what our ancestors taught us — that hybrids stole our magic, stole our wolf powers, and would steal our lives if we ever crossed their path after dark. So I lived cautiously, closing my doors tightly at dusk, trusting the old stories, and depending on my best friend Virginia, a witch who felt more like a sister. But while other wolves discovered their strengths early, I couldn’t control mine. My magic slipped, broke, and scattered until Virginia had to constantly pull me back from losing control. Every healer, every elder, and even my parents tried but they failed. Until a prophecy revealed that the only one who could help me was my destined mate who would love me and restore peace . I searched. I hoped. I got hurt. Betrayed. Left with scars no one could see. So I ran to New York with Virginia, just to breathe — only to collide with Damien. A hybrid. A boy I should have feared. But when my heart reacted before my mind, everything became complicated. Because falling for him wasn’t just forbidden… it was impossible.
